About Menomonee Falls
Menomonee Falls is located in southeastern Wisconsin, approximately 15 miles northwest of Milwaukee. It lies 20 miles west of Lake Michigan and along the county line of Waukesha and Washington counties. The high temperatures in the summer average 75 degrees and winter temperatures often drop to below freezing with the average high being only in the low 30s. Snow is frequent in the winter, sometimes in the form of blizzard and whiteout conditions. Lake Michigan provides ample lake effect snow. Menomonee Falls was settled in 1842 along the Menomonee River. The river winds through the middle of town and at Main Street the water falls 10 feet to become what the village was named for. The primary businesses which have developed in Menomonee Falls are manufacturing in nature. One of the largest of these is the Harley-Davidson manufacturing facility located just off of Pilgrim Road.
