About Williamsport

The city of Williamsport is the county seat of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. It is located in the south central area of the state. Williamsport became incorporated as a borough in 1801, and remained so until it became a city in 1866. It lies just north of the Susquehanna River and southeast of Bald Eagle Mountain.
