About Mansfield

Nestled in the Heart of Ohio, Mansfield was founded in the early 1800s and named after surveyor Jared Mansfield. Temperatures during summer months average about 75 degrees, and winter temperatures average about 30 degrees. Johnny Appleseed is said to have retired here after traveling and planting apple trees in several other states. Mansfield is the county seat of Richland County. Attractions in Mansfield include Carousel Magic, a carousel located downtown that boasts hand-carved horses and glass walls.
