Mastic, New York is a small hamlet of Brookhaven Township, located approximately 60 miles east of New York City. It is located in central Suffolk County, on Long Island. Mastic is located at the mouth of the Forge River near Fire Island National Seashore. Originally called Forge after the river, the town was renamed Mastic in 1882.
