About Laconia
Laconia, New Hampshire is located in Belknap County between lakes Winnisquam and Winnipesauke. Laconia is also the county seat. Laconia got its name from the original company formed by Captain John Mason and the Masonian proprietors in order to sell parcels of land to the original colonists during the colonial era. The estimated population in 2006 was 17,060. The average temperature in the summer is 69 degrees. The average temperature in the winter is 25 degrees. The average annual snowfall is 24 inches.
