About Marshall
Marshall is in the southwestern part of Minnesota and is the county seat of Lyon County. It has a population of about 13,000 people and was founded by Winona & St. Peter Railroad in 1872. It was named Marshall after Governor William R. Marshall. One of the largest frozen-food companies in the United States, Schwan Food Company is headquartered in Marshall.
