About Federal Heights

Federal Heights is located in Adams County, situated in the Denver-Aurora Metropolitan area. In 1927, Harvey Larsen, who worked for the Colorado railroad, purchased some vacant land east of a rutted, two-lane dirt road that led to Denver. That dirt road was Federal Boulevard. Larsen named the area Federal Heights. The estimated population in 2006 was 11,744.
