"My heat pump works very well."
My Trane heat pump works very well in San Antonio. I have the unit maintained yearly. I will most likely buy another Trane heat pump in the future. I will most likely purchase a higher efficiency heat pump in the future. Heating and cooling is the largest part of my energy bills so efficiency is very important to me. I have owned other types of heating and cooling systems such evaporative air and air conditioning, but I most likely will stick with heat pumps. My maintenance provider says that my unit will last another four to seven years with routine maintenance. The heat pump does a good job of both heating in the winter and cooling during the summer. My heat is all electric and does not use any natural gas.

"Trane XL-15i unit is quiet and trouble free"
This Trane XL-15i unit is quiet and trouble free. It works great in both heating and cooling modes. I like the design, having a bit of a roof over the pump and coils.

"The jingle is "Nothing can stop a Trane" -- that's almost right."
This may be the best value for money I have ever had. I've had it for 27 years and the compressor is still going strong. I think I'm on the margin of where the climate is "heat pump suitable", Northern Mississippi, but it works here. There have been repairs -- a blower motor after 20 years and two cooling fan motors from that time time to a couple of years ago. Total cost was under $600. Would I be happier if I hadn't had those expenses? Yes, but the compressor is still doing it. Did I get a bargain? Absolutely. Their trademark is "Nothing can stop a Trane" and as far as I can tell, from the standpoint of the compressor, that is about right. I think it was a great buy; even if it had to replace it tomorrow. I don't know about the quality of what they make now, but in the mid-'80's they were spot on.

"Very satisfied with my Trane"
I have owned my heat pump for 3 years since i moved into my new house. The previous owner had installed the heat pump a month before we bought the house. I like that i have had no issues with it and that my energy bill is low. The heat pump always keeps my house nice and cool in the summer and nice and warm in the winter. I have only had to have the preventative maintenance on it. I honestly can't complain about a thing. Never had to repair anything.I would buy and recommend a Trane again.

"I have a Trane heat pump unit"
I have a Trane heat pump unit that is 20 years old (Manufacturing 1991). It is less efficient (don't know seer) than the new ones but I have spent only $160 on it for a bad board at one time about 8 years ago. No charging issues or leaks. It is a 2-ton unit, heats and cools great but just not as efficient. Not sure whether to look at replacing it or just run it until it breaks.

"Trane is the Best"
Just replaced my 18 year old Trane XE1000 with a new Trane XL16i. The old ran for 18 years with only one $65 repair, can't beat that. The old one was still working I decided to take advantage of the Federal Tax break last year and get a new one that was more efficient. So far electric bills are down on average 200KWH less per month. I see other people complain about Trane, just make sure you get a good contractor to install it and maintain it but it can still break just like any other brand.

"I am very satisfied and would recommend to anyone thinking about purchasing one."
I've owned the heat pump for about a year now. It seems to be very efficient and our energy bills are much lower than they were before I had it installed. Our previous heat pump was very old and had broken down several times. I have never had to repair or replace the pump, but I would not expect to this quickly in its life cycle. I am most impressed by the energy savings that it has generated and also by the fact that it is much quieter than the pump that was here before. You can barely tell that its on most of the time, even when outside near it. I would definitely buy the same brand again and I would recommend it to a friend.

"Trane Heat Pumps are Awesome !"
We purchased a beach house almost 3 years ago and one of the first upgrades we made was to install two new Trane Heat pumps. Not only does the Trane XR15 heat pump meet and exceed the Energy Star requirements, but it also meets the federal energy-efficiency requirements for additional tax credits. I love the warranty and consistent temperatures that the Trane Heat Pumps provide. Our older heat pump would freeze up in the winter time and blow cold air, we have not had this problem once with our new Trane Heat Pumps. We do have it serviced annually just to insure it is running properly and have not had to make a single repair to either unit since we purchased them in September of 2008. I would highly recommend Trane heat pumps to friends and family in a heartbeat!

"Wonderful Product"
I own a Trane XB14 heat pump. I have own it for about three years now. I completely love it! It does and excellent job at heating my entire house even in the coldest weather. I have actually seen my utility bill go down from the usual high bills that I use to get in the middle of winter. Of course a lower utility bill makes everyone happy. I have not had a single problem with my Trane XB14 heat pump since the day I bought it. I do have a reputable company come out every year and check it out to be sure everything is working properly, but they have never found anything wrong with it. I highly recommend purchasing the XB14 heat pump. I have even recommended it to my family and friends that they should change to the XB14 heat pump even though there is nothing currently wrong with theirs.
