"Trane review"
This is a very good product. I may need a new heatpump in the future and I wouldnt hesitate to purchase another Trane.I Would be extremely careful about who I purchased it from and who installed it because of reading the previous reviews.

"19i Heat Pump with Gas Back up"
Exceptional performance in improving my comfort level. My upstairs is now much cooler in summer and more comfortable in winter. This 2 compressor technology is the best thing ever. Two air conditioners in one. I love it.

"1973 Weathertron running great"
10 years ago I thought it might be time to replace our then 26 year old ge Weathertron 2.5 t unit. a commercial refrigeration engineer asked why I would replace a running unit. It is still running, but I feel the opportunity cost now would justify replacing it. We do need new ductwork. I just don't want to fix something that isn't broken; replaced by a potential lemon.

"Very Reliable Unit"
We have owned our xe1000 system for twelve years. The unit has been flawless. We noticed that our bills were starting to go up so we had the unit checked. Turns out that the air handler is rusting out from the moisture in our crawlspace. Not Trane's fault. Living in Virginia everything condensates with our hot and humid summers. I am replacing it with a 15 seer unit this week. I am confident that it will be flawless as well. A clean install will keep the unit from failing. It is difficult to keep contaminates out of the line set. But if your tech is careful the unit will last for years. If not the compressor and everything else will fail early.

"Trane Heat Pump"
I bought a house in 2005 with the original unit from 1987. The home inspector at the time of purchase suggested replacing it in the near future. However, it has been working great. I thought I would purchase another until I began reading the reviews. It appears the older systems are much more dependable than the newer units. Wow, now I am perplexed.

"Trane review"
Had my Trane installed in 1985. Have not had any problems whatsoever. Still running great. I am getting worried that it may decide to quite on the coldest night of the winter, just because she has been great for so long. Nothing last for ever, not even a Trane.

"Trane 2.5 ton HP"
I live in the Southeast and have had my Trane Elite for a little over 24 years. I may have spent $500-$800 over the 24 year time frame and it is still doing the job! I believe the original installation also plays a very important role on the longevity of a hp, although Trane has made a good product.

"Good System"
This is the best heating system I could ask for. I literally spent 300 dollars in 2007 to heat my 4000 sq ft home. I have the 16xli. My auxiliary (gas backup) does not kick on until I get below 10 Fahrenheit. I cannot believe the efficiency.

"21 yrs of great service"
I bought this house new in 1987, had a Trane heat pump 3.5 ton on the house. Had the four way valve go bad the first year, changed out for free. Comp just went out on the unit so I am looking for another ac. Looks like a Trane is coming my way again.

"TRANE UNSTOPPABLE!"
Had a Trane heat pump and electric furnace put in when we bought this place 32 years ago. Never had a lick of trouble out of the thing. Had it checked every other year or so and a couple things that were so minor I can't even remember what they were. Had it replaced with a Trane xl16 and air handler when the old coil started leaking. Why wouldn't I after a record like that! Dealer here in Cincinnati was very thorough - did a heat loss/gain equation and all that. Was here for almost 2 hours just taking measurements. My utilities are down by over 30%! You other folks who had problems, maybe you should've researched the installer better! Trane's equipment is bullet proof! Not cheap, but nothing good ever is.
