"Rheem Heat Pump"
This heat pump has been in operation year round for 13 years. The only repairs needed were due to bugs in the contactors. I've replaced all but the first one by myself because I watched the contractor replace the first one and it looked very easy and it has been. I will purchase another Rheem Heat Pump and I'm considering buying a Rheem Hot Water Heater. I reccomend their units with complete confidence. Buy a Rheem...You won't be sorry.

"HVAC contractor"
I have been installing Rheem and York units for 28 years and have had almost no problems with either. I repair and have installed all brands. These two are the most reliable. The problem is with a lot of contractors will install a name brand unit with a aftermarket coil, much cheaper and not as good.they also don't all use nitrogen when welding the units up that starts the unit off with contamination already in the system.and some contractors don't bother pulling a vacume on the system to get the moisture out. I have less than 1 leak per 500 installs.also most of the complaint are with the newer r410a units that run at twice the preasure and blow the neoprene o ring in the a coil Rheem does not have this problem because their valves are welded in.Rheem is number 24 out of about 60 brands on this list and if you read the reviews of those better than 24 usually it is because it is a brand you have never heard of that 1 person wrote a review that gave it a 100% satisfaction rating.rheem is above carrier rated 25 lennox rated 45 and trane rated #30

"RQPM Still goin' strong in Tucson heat"
My 14 seer 4 ton packaged heat pump from Rheem is still working well with next to no maintenance at almost 2 years now. Just wanted to let others know. Today, at the end of June, it's 105 degrees outside and my output duct temperature is still 55 degrees with the thermostat set at 78. I would still recommend this unit. Some stats: Single homeowner, all electric house, last electric bill, May, was $90. This month is, of course, much hotter but I'm expecting the bill to be about $130. Hope this helps someone out there!

"Do your homework!!"
Do your homework. I have read a lot of these reviews and have noticed that a lot of the gripes are the same as in the series of heat pump they purchased. First of all the 13pj series is Rheems Builder grade which means it is a cheaper built unit and will be louder and more prone to having other problems. The rpnl..jaz series is rheems standard 13 seer unit. It is a very good unit, I had one of these before the jez series that I have now. The jez series is the prestige and in my opinion is the best unit on the market. All of these units have a 10 year Parts/Compressor warranty. (one thing everyone needs to realize is all manufacturers will not cover labor and will charge freight to get the material there!!) There are optional labor warranties you can purchase (ask your contractor about it) What makes the jez model the best is it has a smart board in it that will protect the compressor against burn out which is also why it comes with a 5 year no hassle replacement warranty that if the compressor goes out in the first five years rheem will replace the whole unit not just the compressor. Also it is one of the most quietest units I have heard. I absolutley would recommend the jaz or mostly the jez series to anyone out there looking for a great system, also I have not found yet any other manufacturer that offers the 5 year no hassle warranty. One last thing people need to take into consideration is the quality of the contractor installing these units because from what I have heard and researched is if it is not put in properly, every manufacturers unit out there will have problems!

"Very pleased! Great heat pump"
Ive owned this heat pump for years now. It's very reliable, and hasn't caused any problems. The only problem is that it makes a little noise when it works. It's not very noticeable though. I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone.

"Rheem 13PJL Line Heat Pumps Great Buy"
I have owned my Rheem heat pump for the past 5 years. It has been very reliable and has not broken or required maintenance beyond what is regular. The heat pump is also very energy efficient, and according to calculations, it has saved me over $100 a year in energy costs for each of the past 5 years. That's $500 saved just by using a Rheem heat pump! The only time I did have a problem was when something lodged itself in the heat pump, but Rheem's Easy Service design allowed me to fix the problem myself just by removing the top. I cannot think of anything to dislike about my heat pump, as my last heat pump ceased to function after two years and this has already lasted five. That being said, I would strongly recommend this brand to any friend or anyone looking for a heat pump for their home.

"Reviewing my Heat Pump"
The heat pump we own is the RHEEM RPNL-048JAZ 4 TON SPLIT SYSTEM HEAT PUMP 13 SEER R-410. We have had this heat pump at our house for over a year. I disliked the fact that it was worth so much money however it was definitely worth the hefty price tag. The way the house is kept heated is second to none. Also, there is barely any sound from the system and the pump itself is also relatively quiet. Noise was a major problem we had with the previous system. There have been no major repairs on this, there was only one time where the fan was making some weird noises but it was simply because it needed to be cleaned out a bit. I would definitely recommend this heat pump to anyone who wants something of quality however be prepared to pay upwards of 1000$ for it. This heat pump is certainly not cheap but you will not be disappointed.

"Excellent Unit"
Rheem RPNL-042JEZ is a very good unit. Small leak after 12 years in coil, but fixed. Getting a little noisy with time, but will replace with another more efficient rheem for the same amount of money!!

"The best unit in the market"
If I was to buy a heat pump based on these reviews, I would be very disappointed. I can't believe that every brand has a negative rating!! Rheem, Trane, American Standard, Carrier these are all top of the line heat pumps. I personally witnessed 30-40 year old heat pumps of these same name brands that were still running. More than just buying a heat pump, people need to do their homework on the contractor that's installing it. P.S. Watch out for the big companies.

"RHEEM is alright with me..."
This rooftop 14 seer packaged heat pump RQPM-A048JK replaced my 22-year-old Rheem, which actually was still working, but was costing me too much to run. This new one kicks butt and was a great deal considering the $1500 tax credit and $400 Rheem rebate. It keeps putting out about 55 degrees coming out of the supply ducts even in hot 100+ degree temperatures and record heat in August here. I have no complaints and only hope it lasts as long as the previous unit. I guess it's human nature to gripe when something's wrong and remain silent when everything is fine, so I'm putting my positive opinion on here to help balance it out! Heck yeah,I'd buy another Rheem!
