"Piece of crap."
Every 3 months the mountings on the fan kept loosening. After a year and a half the screws on the mountings sheared off. $500 fan replacement after 1.5 years. I'll never buy another Lennox, that's for sure.

"bad unit"
My husband and myself bought a Lennox 2.5 ton we were told that it did not come in 3 ton which the sales man said this would work. It is a 15 seer and we were looking to go with the highest energy savings. The unit was not put in right it had to be repaired we have had problems form the beginning. It frezzes over in the winter and the fan and compressor plus other parts were changed. With each season comes more problems I have requested several times to change the unit out with anoter one instead I was told by my dealer they would extend the warranty and labor for 10 years from the purshase date. I am tired of repairs and high light bills I am 100% unsatisfied

"Nightmare Lennox's XP19"
After 30 years of oil furnance comfort, I purchased the Lennox's XP19 in summer of 2006 for $10K. After the first year of use, this system has failed 4 to 6 times a year. The dealer, I brought it from had service my oil furnance and central air for 30 years. After 30 years of service from them, I very unhappy with the level of service from the product (XP19) and dealer. I've had to vacate my home for two days of no heat. The current problem, the dealer said motor condenser has failed and a new motor will cost $800.00. Service call went in 5/25/2011 and part was ordered but won't arrive until 6/03/2011. Poor and more poor service from dealer and Lennox. 90 degree Temperatures have been hovering for over a week. Stuck and hot in St. Mary's County MD. After reading all the reviews here, Lennox's needs to be held responsible for their defective products like SAMSUNG.

"Very unsatisfied"
I have had too many problems to list with my unit. How do we get action and not just keep complaining to others who are suffering as we are? I would never trust Lennox again after the 5 year experience that I have had. "Everyone excells at passing the buck" should be their company motto.

"2008 Lennox Heat Pump woes"
Our old Lennox heat pump lasted for over 20 years before it gave out. In the spring of 2008 we had ours replaced with a new heat pump and have had nothing but trouble since. After numerous service calls and replacement parts we are now in our 3rd year on this lemmon and once again, when we need it most it breaks. What is going on? Does no one know how to fix anything? Or this is just a very bad product. Whatever it is I feel we are being nickel and dimed to death..personally I would never recomment a Lennox anything to anyone and I think they should be made to recall their lousy products. And Please, your terms of service is to change what I am saying about this product if you want? What is that about?

"Just Junk"
We baught our house in June of 2008. The heat pump was installed in late 07 while the house was vacant. Every year since we got it, it never heated properly in the winter. and Each spring it has had to be serviced to get the system to start up to cool the house. Then this summer, I call the repair people to get it to running again and they tell me that a wire inside it rubbed the copper pipe with the refrigerant in it until the insulation wore off the wire. And when it was naked and sparked it blew a hole in the line of the refrigerant. The thing is, the 5 year parts coverage on it doesn't apply to the refrigerant, the line it runs in or the labor. So basically they built it faulty so that the line and wire would rub, and now they won't cover a thing to fix it. I'm out over $1000.00 The people at lennox completely blew me off and tried to say my repairman was lying. They didn't even appologize for my having to go through this trouble. They have terrible customer service and don't stand by their product. I will never buy a product from them.

"Very Low Quality"
Compressor gave out after less than 5 years. Even though under warranty cost over $800 to install new compressor. Lennox does not cover labor. I would not recommend this brand. Go with Carrier - I have never had a problem with Carrier units.

"My Review of The Heat pump"
I have owned my heat pump for approximately six months. It has never worked properly for heating purposes at all, especially during the winter months. The unit shuts off or will blow cold air into my home, rather than heat. The only way to heat my home is to use the emergency heat option on the unit which can be very costly. I have had to reset the unit several times in order for it to actually work. I have had several technicians out to my home to look at the unit, and they have had to reset it, or give it a boost in order for it to work. During the spring/summer months, the cooling system works much better. It blows cold air which can cool my home down quickly. I would never buy the same brand of heat pump again, in fact i would prefer not to use a heat pump at all as it is very costly and for a unit that rarely works it is not economical.

"DOA.. Dead On Arrival"
I was excited that our home warranty company was going to finally approve our claim and have our P.O.S., 12 year old Goodman replaced. The contractor doing the install was confident that this was a great replacement because even though this was the entry level unit, it was basic enough that it would be easy to work on and had less parts that could fail. Heat pump was installed on an unseasonably warm day in February where the outside temp was in the low 70's. When the temperature dropped back down to normal levels over the next 2 days, the pump immediately froze over to one completely solid block of ice. There was so much ice that the fan couldn't spin. The contractor found that the compressor was bad on the brand new unit. Since this should have been tested at the factory, a capital F on quality, quality control, and another F on customer service. Evidently, they were not cooperative and it took several weeks of continued calls to the contractor, warranty company, and then finally a threatened legal action to get enough brass to make the right calls to get the parts needed. The parts have not been replaced at this point.

"Junk and they know it!!!"
I moved into my new home in Jan. 04 in april. o7 the compressor went out on my main unit. It cost me $756. for the labor and shipping to get it replaced, remember it was under warranty. On Sept. 24 07 the repalced compressor went out again. There was a 6 month warranty on the replaced compressor that went bad so again it went out under warranty with one week left on the warranty, this time they charged me $500. to install and then later remove a suction line drier. Now 3 years and 7 months later the compressor needs to be replaced again for a 4th time. only I have no warranty left. I have talked to the people at Lennox in the past and they are so rude an arrogant. There are so many complaints they know there product is junk.
