"Terrible Reliability"
I bought this heatpump 6 years ago for $9024. From almost day one, it has had problems. I'm presently considering replacing it with another manufacturer's heat pump. It's difficult to know the extent to which the problems are installation-related or equipment related. The installer's service technicians blame the equipment. They tell me that all its energy-saving gizmos result in breakdowns.

"TROUBLE WITHIN 2 YEARS..."
Installed 2010 and Low pressure Valve gaves up.... refill needed (400$) The fan and motor to be replaced cause vibration... The latter should be on waranty. The valve is not warranted, only the seal. Should have taken the yearly inspection....

"Good job"
Good job, was nice and clever to reduce emissions of your heating system ! But I think the insulating material used is dangerous because it releases toxic fumes when overheated. We recommend you to use, on your next manufacturing, fiberglass or stone wool with aluminum foil, which withstand high temperatures and does not release toxic gases. Careful though the dust in their use. I hope I helped and sorry for my English, I'm from Greece.

"Mrs David Vollmar"
We have grown up with Lenox so when we built our new home that is what we got a a new furnish and heat pump . I thought it was the best bit boy was I wrong wrong wrong . We have had this unit for 5 years and every part and Irsn every part has had to be replaced . I will never buy another Lenox product again . This is the worst heat pump I have ever had. It is a 3 1/2 ton unit and it is what the company said we should have for our size home it is a peace of trash . And we bought the top model . Sorry we did not get another brand . So my feeling is all 100% thumbs down. It does not even get a star. Bad product.

"Horrible and unreliable!"
We live in Phoenix...enough said! We have a 7 yr old unit and we are now in our 2nd summer of non stop breaking down of the unit. Today it was 111 outside and the unit overheats and shuts down. Thank god we have a 10 yr warrenty, but the unrelible feeling of this crappy unit is nerve racking and down right dangerous. We are getting the Lennox field service rep involved and I plan on call Lennox corporate office to demand a new unit. This has been a nightmare................stay tuned! I recommend you never buy a Lennox!

"Elite"
Bought this model in Aug 2009. June 2010 replaced capacitor. June 2012 had a leak in low pressure line. Bad solder joint from the factory. Repair cost $1025. Don't buy Lennox junk.

"Bad product"
Two Lennox 3 ton heat pumps, one on each side of house. Last year, had to replace 5+ year old evap coil. Now, the other unit has a leaking evap coil. This product is super expensive to buy, probably because of all the bells and whistles, but it uses ultra thin copper to improve efficiency at the expense of electrolytic corrosion and leaks of refrigerant. It is, therefore, a piece of junk!

"Review Revised"
This is a revision to an earlier review in March of 2012 which you can peruse if you wish to know the details of the story. I am upgrading my review to Neutral since Lennox finally agreed to replace my entire heat pump (inside coil and outdoor unit) for free. I needed the intervention of the hvac contractor to help me. I still had to pay for labor which cost $2400. I am out almost 4k for a heat pump that should never failed but at least I got a new one. My recommendation is to always buy the extended warranty on heat pumps. The cost of the warranty can easily equal the cost of one repair.
