"Worst AC Ever!"
"Terrible" Worst ac ever!!!!!!!!! Don't let a dealer sell you one only to return for repairs to rip you off. Unit is not yet 4 years old and it has been a maintenance nightmare. It worked fine the first two years. The last two years has been hell. Each summer goes out and causes me around $400.00 to repair. The warranty sucks. I will never buy another Goodman unit. Very poor quality and poor quality parts.

"Goodman sucks"
I installed a Goodman heat pump and gas furnace 4 1/2 years ago. Not one year has gone by that I have not had service on the heat pump. The parts have been covered but I have spent over $3000 for labor, freon, and supplies. I contacted customer service and they have the worst customer service dept. I finally contacted the Houston Better Business Bureau. Goodman responded with an offer of some monetary help but I am still working through the offer.

"HVAC Contractor"
I've been in the HVAC industry for 39 years. I've sold Goodman equipment. I will never sell them again. If you live in the mid to upper states, look at this. If you take a look at the heat pump, out side unit, it looks like a weed eater has gone around the first 4 inches of the bottom of the coil. The lower portion will freeze and eventually cause the outside coil to leak refrigerant. I sold one to my next door neighbor 6 years age, had to replace the compressor once, and the outside coil no his heat pump. I have never seen this kind of coil damage to any other brand in the field.

"Heat Pump Problems"
We had this heat pump installed in August 2007, we have had to have freon and repairs each summer. We just recently had the plugs replaced and received a bill for $500 for the labor and freon. I believe this is unfair and the company should back their product in full. I am going to request a new unit, and will not recommend this to anyone.

"Reversing valve & abysmal cust. service"
Installed a brand new goodman system 8/30/10, complete with furnace, coil, heatpump, line set, thermostat, ect. No old components used. Heat pump reversing valve was not functioning properly on install. Installer tapped on valve and it started to function. Started malfunctioning again. I went to goodman website and got a number for a certified installer/repairman. He showed up and after looking it over determined it was reversing valve, but that he wasn't an authorized with goodman. He was several years ago but stopped carrying them do to reliability issues. Called Goodman directly and was informed that they are not going to cover any labor, just the part. Even though it appeared to not be working on install. In short- -Their website isn't up to date with current installers. -Their "customer service" number given out on website is crap. I had to call a wholesaler to actually get a decent number. -When I did finally get in touch with a human they told me that it wasn't their problem and by the way "since you didn't register it within 60 days of install your "warranty" is only good for 5 years". Whatever, I am going to get a 2lb hammer and destroy the piece of junk and buy something else. By the time I pay somebody to come out and jack arround with it I will have about as much cash in it as another one. I'm hacked off.

"Heatpump"
Bought this unit in 07 for just under $3000.00 installed. Worked good for the first year. 2nd thru the 4th year has been a maintance nitemare. Unit would not heat, unit would not cool. 2 thermosatas, 1 transformer, 2 enviromental kits, a re-charge, later and all under 5 years, and it still does not work, Oh did i forget to mention the reverse valve also was replaced!!! Told my dealer that a new unit was in order, nah, will get this fixed. When ???, I would not recomend this company to anybody.

"Goodman Heat Pump"
I have had the unit for 3 years. The first feature of the unit that I liked, and was the main reason I bought it was that it has an environmentally friendly refrigerant. Which means I won't be harming the environment and I would be able to stay comfortable in all seasons. I like that it was inexpensive, but because it was inexpensive that means it was downright cheap. There were a lot of problems keeping the unit to both cool and heat properly. I constantly had to have maintenance work on it, and it would constantly break down. I spent more in maintenance than I did on the pump, so next time I am buying a better one so I save money on forcing it to work. They just could not make it work. One time it would be the coils, other time the valves. I would NOT buy this brand again, nor would I recommend it to a friend. I wish I had done more research before buying this unit.
