"REGRETS! REGRETS! WISH I COULD PICK CARRIER"
This unit installed on April 3 2012-today is april 8 2012. It is less than 1 week old and already broke down. got chilly here in east tn turned heat on & worked 1 day - now the outdoor unit runs 2 mins off for 5 then back on over & over. This piece of junk turned on & off 27 times in 1 hour. Oh yeah ,forgot to mention the indoor blower won't blow only outside runs like a thrashing machine. Wish I had my 30 year old carrier back. Stay away from Goodman. They are of the devil!

"Unsatisfied with this unit"
This unit has a 10 year warranty on parts, my contractors have been changing parts since day number one, this is a good unit for contractors, because labor charge to replace parts are high. They have changed out the defrost control three times, Motor run capacitor three times and now in the process of replacing the compressor fan. I’m disappointed with the quality of this unit. Maybe we just don’t have pride in what we make in the USA any more. It’s all about the sell and money.

"Goodman Systems"
This unit continually breaks down, it seems to be the same part that has problems, there is a fan that comes on first to do what I don't know however it continually becomes plugged up where there is a small connection to a fail safe system, this must be a design flaw have never had this problem with any other furnace.

"A WORTHLESS PRODUCT"
I built a new house 4 years ago and getting close to retirement with the idea of not having any problems so much for that. I have put over 1600.00 in it and still does not work. I have had reversing valves and freon and 4 different contracters and still no heat from my unit . I am extremely dissappointed with goodman and the local contracters that are working on it. I would not recommend this unit or a goodman unit to anyone . the unit is loud and unreliable broke down twice in 4 years this time for 3 months.

"dont buy this unit"
We bought this unit to save money and we have put in over $1000. Goodman company does not care if their product does not perform. We contacted them and after having us jump through hoops with information they refused to help us. We would never recommend this to anyone!

"I install Goodman through my company Heatman.com"
So it was natural that I would install 1 in my own home. The heat pump works great. We control it with a Honeywell 8000 with outdoor sensor. My total electric bill is $75-80 a month and my house is very comfortable. If I did not believe in them I would not have put it in my house. No problems at all. We install them right then test them for air flow, heat rise, etc. Last year we installed over 300 replacement sytems with 1 callback. With a 10 year warranty on every part I do not see why anyone would want to pay more for any other product. I also believe that the"secret" to a great system is in the install.

"homeowner"
After having compressor changed out, 2 reversing valves, 3 defroster boards with sensors. It still runs 2 to 5 defrost cycles in a row. So while that happens my main heating strips run to heat house. Which equals a higher electrical bill. So as far as energy efficient goes it equals zero. buy a better brand name with a true ice sensor instead of a timer and get a true heat pump.

"Goodman worthless 3 compressors in 2 months"
Purchased this unit and was installed by their representative. After three years the compressor went out 3 times in 2 months. They finally replaced the unit with no new warranty and we had to pay all labor costs. We were very satisfied with the GE unit we had for 32 years and never had a problem. We replaced it with the 15 seer Goodman because it was a 6 seer. Our money is truly wasted and Goodman could care less. Never buy anything from them. We have spent more money in labor and parts than the GE costs.

Review:
"several problems with heat pump"
I purchased this unit in 2007 from a local highly reputable contractor, and had his company install it. I did not know what to expect, but the electric bill tripled. 15 months later the unit started to make a very loud squeal, and I had the contractor service it. The freon was low, and the compressor was shot. Goodman did cover the replacement of the compressor but did not cover the 700.00 labor costs. Now 4 years, 9 months later the same situation, and different contractor says the compressor is shot again, and needs to be replaced. They can rip me off once, but I get smart very quickly. It will be replaced with another brand this time. Cannot be any worse!!!!!
