"My unit has run great"
My unit has run great since it was installed. I had a gmv95070 furnace installed at the same time and have had zero problems. Most of the complaints are from people who had bums or fly by nights install their systems. I have my system cleaned and tuned annually.

"Goodman Heat pump # GPH1549M41"
Never had a Goodman product but now we do. It is a heat pump 4 ton model 15 steer # gph1549m41 roof unit. The workmanship and installation was excellent and it was installed by Cooling for Less located here in the Phoenix area 480 406-3430. They did an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone. They always had the time to answers any of my questions. No spin! We live in Scottsdale Arizona and the week it was installed it received a work out with temperatures hitting 114- 116 degrees for the past 2 weeks. It is keeping our house at 73 degrees with no problem. Our home is about 1900 square feet. We never had a ramp up unit before and that took some time getting used to the sound of the compressor and fan ramping up when it starts. It’s just a little different. After a minute it purrs and is very quiet. The volume of air is the best I have ever felt living out her for 30+ yrs. So far so good. We will see what the future holds. I would like to see it in other colors other than forest green.

"Have never had a problem with this unit..."
Have never had a problem with this unit Goodman heat-pump. I have seen a lot of bad reviews on trane, carrier, york, you name it. I just wonder if every brand makes a bunch of lemons sometime. Oh, by the way, I am guilty of never having it serviced. I'm scared now that if I do, it's gonna break!!!

"Try a different Contractor"
People need to understand something. You can blame the maker but if the contracting company installing the equipment is trying to rip you off or is terribly ignorant than you will have yearly repairs with any system. This is how companies rip you off. They are getting paid each time. Who deals with your warranty? Them too. Don't blame the brand for a terrible contractor. If you have not done your homework or tried another company then blame yourself for ignorance. ac contractors are a dime a dozen but there are very few that are reputable decent companies. I have had a Goodman for 12 years. There warranty is better than any other. Trane can't even compare with there warranty so if your so called contractor tells you different then find another contractor.

"Bad news ended up great news"
We had a 12 SEER Janitrol 3 1/2 ton compressor blow the thermal overload. (It would not reset). The new heat pump is drawing less current and is significantly quieter. Likewise it cools the house down faster. the air is colder. We love it.

"Heating Our Home"
In my home we own a Goodman Heat Pump. When my father passed away 6 years ago in September 2006 we had our heat pump installed. Since we have had it we have not had any maintenance done to it. What we like about it is that it keeps every room a constat temperature whether it's hot or cold. It doesn't run the electricity bill up as much as long as you keep the thermostat on one constant temperature. For what we paid for it we got a great deal on it. There is nothing in particular that I can say I dislike about our heat pump. The only thing I don't like about it is that living in a rural area our electricity goes off often and we wish it ran on a battery to keep the house warm or cool! I live in a brick 1500 sq. ft. 8 room home and it keeps it warm in the winter and cool in the summer so it is the idea heat pump for us. I would recommend it to anyone and I will defenitley buy the same brand again for my next purchase.

"Goodman heat pump condenser SSZ14 series."
I am a a new home owner and I had to get a heat pump for the air condition system. I choose the Goodman heat pump condenser ssz14 series with it's outdoors air handling unit because the price was very affordable for the features it has and I read good reviews online about it. I have been using the heat pump for over 5 months now and I have had no problems or issues with it. It works very well in extracting heat from the small house on hot days, and when it gets cold it is very efficient at reducing costs of heating since it doesn't add up too much money to the utility bills. This system works by gathering heat and introducing it to the inside of the house. Unlike the unit in my old apartment it is very quiet. The company claims that instead of loosing efficiency over time this unit actually becomes more efective, hopefully that is a true statement. The company also claims that it can reduce the cost of the electricity bill by up to 50 % because of its heating efficiency ratings. There is nothing I dislike about it, even the color is of my taste, it comes in a very nice black tone. In case I need to buy another air condition/ heating system I can honestly say that so far this brand would be my first choice.

"Somewhat satsified with Goodman"
I had a Goodman 15 SEER system installed last summer after the compressor went out in my old Trane Unit; so far so good, this unit cools all parts of the house sufficiently, all of the temperature problems I have had before are gone now, and the unit seems to not have any trouble keeping up with cooling or heating some rooms as opposed to others, so all rooms hold a steady temperature now, and the unit auto shuts off after the temperature reaches what that thermostat is set to after 10 minutes, and this helps us save money. Since I have had the unit installed I have cut my electric bill by 15%. The only complaint that i could possibly have about the unit is that it is rather noisy outside, and when it goes into the defrost setting it gets really loud, all in all I would have to recommend this unit because of the savings and so far the dependability.

"Excellent Service"
I have a 3400sqft home with 2 Goodman 2.5 ton units which were installed when the house was built in 1999. The past 2-3 summer seasons I have had to have some freon added to my twins, but other than that they have been maintenance free for the most part. Today, I found out that twin one has lost it's compressor. I figure 12 years on today's equipment is not too bad. Seriously thinking about putting in another Goodman to replace the one that died. Again, I agree that some of the ill fate that people have had with these units is in the quality of the installation job.
