Very loud and runs all the time. Have had two service calls so far when freon leaked out twice. Now the fan sounds like an old model t Ford. Came new with the house. Should I just jerk them both out and go with another brand or suffer with these on again and off again units?

"Goodman, leaks waiting to happen"
I had 2 Goodman units installed in 2000, replaced the downstairs unit 3 years ago because of coil leaks. Replacing upstairs unit this year, again leaks. Went with a Trane 3 years ago and no problems yet. Probably will replace upstairs unit with a Trane Also.

Just bought a Goodman 13 seer 3 ton heat pump. good looking and a good price. Noise problem coming from the compresser. Installer said this is normal for a Goodman. You can hear it as you drive up to the house. GOODMAN states it is very quiet but i could not find the dbm reads in anything they publish. Beware if if the homes are close to each other.
