The Gibson JT4BD is a 13 SEER/8.5 HSPF heat pump designed for single, multifamily or light commercial applications. When combined with a variable-speed air handler or variable-speed blower kits from Gibson's parent company, Nordyne, units in this series can reach up to 14 SEER with 8.5 HSPF.
This series is available in 1.5- to 5-ton capacities and is sized for either slab or rooftop installation. The JT4BD is promoted by the manufacturer for its durable performance, courtesy of a galvanized steel cabinet finished coated by a polyester urethane and metal guard to protect the coil.
Additional features of this unit include copper tube and aluminum fin coils optimized for efficient heat transfer and a permanently lubricated motor for quiet operation and minimal maintenance.

"VERY HAPPY"
I had my Gibson system installed about 2 1/2 years and have had no problems. It keeps our home very comfortable in the summer and winter. Also, we live on the water (salt water) and the outdoor unit looks as good today as it did the day it was installed. I would not hesitate to buy this brand.

"Great Gibson system"
Bought 13 seer heat pump unit with variable speed motor in Apr 2010 and it has performed flawlessly thru a terribly cold and two hot summers here in MO. Installer was experienced with Gibson installs. Total cost was $3350. Had estimates for American Standard And Goodman that were ridiculously high.

JT4BD Warranty
Gibson offers a 10-year limited parts warranty for all heating and cooling products. In addition, this unit is equipped with a 1-year quality pledge to replace the unit if the compressor fails in the first year of operation. Products must be registered online with 60 days of installation or within 60 days of occupancy for new construction residences to receive the full warranty benefits.
