"Efficient, qiet, and no more cold rooms"
I had my 14 year old Trane furnace replaced for a more efficient York furnace last year. I chose York after a family friend reccomended it. It lowered my gas bills by at least 40%, add that up over 10 years and it should pay for itself. That is my thought anyway. I paid extra for the 10 year labor warranty, but so far have not needed it. Would highly reccomend

"Installation"
As an installer myself. I blame the home owner and the contractor. Problems stated on this site are the result of bad choices by the contractor. The other half is the home owner. Check references, certificates etc. Just because a the company has all credits does the person installing the equipment have them? Ask find out. Do some homework. It's ok to ask to see license, certificates, gas number etc. It's your right. By protecting yourself this will put pressure on the non reputable companies to get training or close shop. Either way we will all win.

"YORK Latitude system"
I had my lennox system replaced with a york furnace and york Affinity condenser. This system has saved me 20% on my energy bills! In my previous home, I had a trane. This system is the quietest system too! I would recommend a york system to anyone!

"New York System"
Just installed a new 97%+ York Furnace with 14.5 SEER AC unit. Unit works great and hope to have years of great service from it. Too early to tell about heating as it is still summer weather. Is sized right for our home and was installed by excellent contractor so confident it will perform to highest standards.

"Installed Correctly = works great!"
York Affinity Furnace - 97.5% efficient! Awesome. It is so quiet and even. I talked to a friend who has been a lead technician in the industry for decades, and he recommended York. Said it was in the top brand category, and uses a heat exchanger that is much more durable over time than some other brands. I've had friends with bad contractor experiences, but my contractor was awesome. Find a good contractor who sizes the equipment right, and your York will probably work just as well! Good luck!

"York Furnace"
I bought my home with the York furnace installed. 19 years ago, the buzz words like "high-efficiency" and "quiet" were not the rage. I have owned my home for the last 12 years and have had the furnace service/cleaned every year professionally. Last winter was the first time I started having problems. The igniter died and had to be replaced and because it was part of my service plan I didn't have to pay for the call out or the replacement part. Here in Ottawa, Ontario, it can get down to -35 c esp in the months of February. I'm told the life expectancy of my furnace is between 17-20 years. It's served me well, but now I must go and read up on buzz words like "high efficiency and quiet" for my next furnace.

Very quiet operation. The inducer fan is in a sealed compartment pulling in outside air.

"York"
I have read all the York reviews on this site and I can tell you, from the majority of the bad reviews that your heating contractors are full of bs ! Registered York dealers are able to offer you ten years parts and labor warranty. From some of the terms described in here, your contractors are the ones scamming you. It doesn't take 2 months or more to get any part and it shouldn't take 2 months to replace any part. They are feeding you a bunch of crap! Look into your contractors people and get yearly maintenance. York is a fantastic product. Well worth the money. Take it from someone who has serviced all brands.

"york reliability"
Seems to me every reveiw in here is due to negligent installation. Heat exchanger, inducer, blower motors etc. All of these issues are a direct result of a bad install. A reputable experienced quality contractor can make any furnace last with a good installation.

"HVAC CONTRACTOR"
I have installed and repaired all brands. They all have issues. My new York yp9c100 is a 98%er. also installed complete a/c unit. Two years gone but not one problem. We sometimes blame the equipment, but in fact, some contractors have not a clue on proper installation practices. In addition, to troubleshoot a poor installation is hard. My advice, (30 years as a contractor-retired) is do not go with lowest price. You have to live with this system for many years. Ask other people about your so-called expert contractor. Not the ones he gives you. If no one in your area knows him, there’s a reason for that.
