"Never worked from day one"
Bought this YP9C120D20MP11 heater in 2009 and had it serviced 7+ times for the same problem. The unit would blow out cold air for hours and never shut off. My dealer tried to fix this heater 7+ times with no success and he never got any help from York. When I called York direct all I got was a rude answer from there service manager Bill March. One time he laugh at me on the phone. I am very disappointed that they think this is a funny matter. My family will never but another York product again.

"York 80% Efficiency Single Space Combination 2.5 Rooftop Heat/cool System"
Within the 6 years we have owned this York d1np036n05606 unit it has been serviced 4 times. The parts always seemed to break down after the warranty expired so that meant we had to buy them again or pay a good price to have the unit repaired. When we purchased the York; we were told that all we needed to do every 3 months was to remove the filter. The so called easy way was not true it was just a lie. In order to replace the filter we must take a panel of the machine the furnace requiring us to remove multiple screws. Plus we found out there is another filter we must replace at the same time which is at another location and it also requires removing additional panels. We live in a cold freezing winter state and really do not want to be changing filters during that type of weather! We bought York unit because it was supposed to be a number one brand on the market and to me it should be listed at the bottom of the list. I would never buy a York furnace again!

"Failed less than two years"
After one year of operation the furnace stopped heating. Luckily we were at home and it happened during summer in Seattle. We need to heat the house during night time even in August. I don't want to think what if this happened during winter when we could be away for lengthy period. We called the company that installed it. The technician found a water collector box made from plastic leaking. Since we are over the one year labor warranty, it cost us around 400$. Reading their website, York make the impression that they offer maintenance contract to include parts & labor. I tried to call the number they provide to reach them, 405 3644040, during working hours, there was no response. As the furnace is a complex machine, I wonder how many more bad parts will fail and cost us few more thousands.

"I sleep with a jet engine!"
My husband and I bought a new home -- loose term for PoS building--that included, amongst many other low and bad quality equipment and workmanship, a York furnace. It runs without problems and we had a humidifier + electronic air cleaner added because of the environment we live in--Spokane, WA. I have never heard a furnace that is so noisy in my 54 years of life! The master bedroom happens to have three of the closest vents to the furnace and when it comes on, especially during the night, it sounds like you're standing behind a jet getting ready for take- off. It is important that we run the fan regularly because we have a radon gas abatement system that works by air pressure, forcing the air to exchange from the basement to the outside. I absolutely hate this pos and would never buy another, or another home with one in it!

"Never again"
Built a new house and had a York system installed. The system lasted 4 years before it became so expensive to repair that we replaced with a new system(Trane). The York system was OK for the first two years then everything started falling apart. Ignitors, Capacitor, Blower, Compressor, coils, your name it, seemed like major parts were failing a couple times a year. No warranty follow through. We heard that bad installs are often the reason for issues, so we hired the best local company to replace. The did a complete assessment and found everything to specifications and even commented that the prior equipment was installed correctly. Oh well. We had also used this company to do all the repair work. The new installer was very clear in stating that they get most of their repair business from York and said that if you want to get solid equipment but Carrier or Trane, but stay away from the their lower tier'd equipment.

"never again"
Had a York furnance installed when we built our new home. Uggggg! Problems every year. We eventually got a new service company and they confirmed our fears, too many of the York systems are not so good. We got one of the systems they said they see allot of issues with, Were replacing the entire set-up next week. We chose Trane after looking at Carrier and Lennox also. We'll see, many of our neighbors have Trane and they have had no problems.

"Junk Pile"
Nothing but problems from day one. Maintained the unit with annual maitenance contracts with one of the best HVAC companies in my area. Despite spending close $200/year for general maintenance contracts: something always seemed to break. The ignitors would last only one season, the blower motor was replaced twice(each time after less than 3 years), evaparator coil started leaking and eventually the circuit board went. The service company said they typically had more issues with this brand than most others. They recommened Trane, high end Goodman and some Carrier(which they service but don't sell - at least they're honest). The furnance is 6 years old and I'm planning on chucking it for one of their recommended systems - results speak for themselelves.

"loud,blows cold air!"
I just had a new york tm9v*mp 2 stage furnace installed last fall / winter. I read on the york website that these are supposed to be quiet. well mine sure as hell isn't ! I can hardly hear my tv when it's running!! And what's up with the cold air coming from the hot air vents? My other furnaces never did that. I was happy to read that other people are having the same problem,(means im not crazy or expecting too much) but, that doesn't fix the problem. i've never paid so much in gas as this past winter and it's 96% efficient.i've had to keep the thermostat down to 61 and it's cold in here. if it's a problem with the way it was installed, would an installer tell us how / why, please & thanks?
