"We're happy with it"
We found this site looking for a replacement pressure switch for our furnace Diamond 90 series (the original has started to stick closed - thanks for the detailed information, diagnostic led - and the furnace won't start unless we rap it gently to unstick it). And we replaced an ignitor a year or so ago. Nonetheless, as we enter our ninth central New Hampshire heating season we're happy with it (though not with the current price of propane, which is causing us to start looking at standing-column well heat pumps and pellet stoves; folks with access to natural gas should still find operating costs attractive, though): we've performed no routine maintenance at all (probably should at least get a brush to check the flame tubes for carbon, but there's been no loss of efficiency so it's probably not too bad), the two repairs we've had to make have been inexpensive (on eBay) diy jobs, and otherwise our DIY-installed $1150 furnace (plus a few hundred more for installation hardware: we used to heat our open-plan house quite comfortably with a centrally-located wood stove and just ran a single duct to the same location) has served us well.

"great furnace"
Having said that- My york furnace was installed in 2003 with no problems. I did have a service call but to my chagrin it was not furnace related, but SNOW covering the air intake on my roof. Cooling unit has run like a swiss watch too. The key is a good installer. You need one to evaluate unit and replace bad or incorrect parts on startup. My guy noticed a error code but it was no more than a loosened control board from shipping. Also use standard filters instead of "hepa" or "ultra" which will cause airflow problems in the more efficient furnaces.

"Oldie But goodie!"
Grandpa bought the furnace in 1990. What we like about it: We pay upfront for the oil. What we don't like about it: It is an oil furnace so it is expensive considering the price of oil has gone up in the last years. Three years ago, when we moved back into the house, it wasn't running because of lack of use. We had to have it serviced and cleaned. It has run fine since that time. While grandma was living with us, we used it a lot to keep her warm. She has passed and we don't use it much because of the expense. We would buy the same brand again if the price was right. We aren't brand loyal, so whatever we could get that worked fine and at the right price would be the one we would buy.

"Really like our York Furnace"
We have had our York furnace for about two years now and we are very happy with it. It is a gas, forced air furnace. We replaced a twenty year old furnace that had not yet begun to fail, but the new one had such a better efficiency rating that it was definitely a good idea to go ahead and get a new one. We saw an immediate reduction in our gas bill. We had a local heating company do the installation and they added nice features like a kill switch at the top of the basement stairs and a built in humidifier. The humidifier is a really nice feature for keeping the house comfortable. Without the humidifier, you are constantly wanting to put lotion on your skin. Since we got the humidifier, the house is just generally more comfortable. We would definitely recommend this furnace to anyone. We have had no problems at all.

"Worst product ever owned"
We moved in our new house back in 2008, which has two York PT9 series furnace. It ran fine for the first winter, but in 2009 and 2010 winter, we have to call emergency repair 5 times! Both furnaces got issues: The blow-up fan died, the flame sensor needs to be replaced, the pressure sensor is broken, etc. It feels like all components in the furnace are falling apart. We spent over $500 in 2009 and $1500 in 2010. Their customer service is crappy, they push you around among different departments. This is absolutely a piece of crap!

"Simply Awesome!"
This is by far the best furnace that I have ever had. I use a Bear Media MERV 13 filter in the unit and I use a 1" filter on the return air. This unit heats my home perfectly and the air quality with the two filters I use is outstanding. I purchase the Bear Media MERV 13 filters from Amazon for $56 for a 2 filter pack, and I puchase the roll of 1" filter from Grainger for $120 (which will last me at least 3 years per roll). I cut my return filters from the roll and replace them once a month.

"York is good by me."
I have a York Affinity two stage gas furnace and central air conditioner that was installed in 2006. To date, it has been totally problem free. I have both units serviced once a year. Most of the bad mouthing of York products seems to come from ignorant home owners who don't realize these new high efficiency furnaces need regular maintenance and no brand will be as reliable and maintenance free as models built 30 years ago. If you want high efficiency, you will pay for it, both in new cost of aquisition as well as maintenance and a shorter service life. Such is progress.

"not a bad furnace"
After many years in the HVAC trade I can tell you that most furnace problems are due to poor installation and not bad equiptment people should be writing reviews on installers not furnaces.

"So far so good"
Installed yp9c not long ago, but way better than the old mid-efficient arcoaire furnace. Much quieter than the old mid efficient furnace with id fan, and single stage gas and blower. Used to have to turn up the radio/tv when the old furnace started, but not now. We'll see how happy I am in a year or two, but have 10 year/part/labor warranty.
