The Diamond 90 is a single-stage gas furnace manufactured by York. This furnace has some features consumers may not find on older single-stage furnaces, such as electronic ignition and a direct drive blower. The York Diamond 90 has an annualized fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) rating of up to 94%.

The blower unit on the Diamond 90 is insulated to operate more quietly and the top intake and venting allow the Diamond 90 to be installed in tight spaces. The heat exchanger is constructed from steel that has been coated in aluminum for increased durability.

We found this site looking for a replacement pressure switch for our furnace Diamond 90 series (the original has started to stick closed - thanks for the detailed information, diagnostic led - and the furnace won't start unless we rap it gently to unstick it). And we replaced an ignitor a year or so ago. Nonetheless, as we enter our ninth central New Hampshire heating season we're happy with it (though not with the current price of propane, which is causing us to start looking at standing-column well heat pumps and pellet stoves; folks with access to natural gas should still find operating costs attractive, though): we've performed no routine maintenance at all (probably should at least get a brush to check the flame tubes for carbon, but there's been no loss of efficiency so it's probably not too bad), the two repairs we've had to make have been inexpensive (on eBay) diy jobs, and otherwise our DIY-installed $1150 furnace (plus a few hundred more for installation hardware: we used to heat our open-plan house quite comfortably with a centrally-located wood stove and just ran a single duct to the same location) has served us well.

York offers an extended warranty to cover limited labor costs in addition to the regular warranty. Customers can add this optional warranty when they purchase the York Diamond 90. The optional warranty plans can cover the parts and labor for up to ten years. The regular warranty consists of the following:
