Review:
"Too many repairs"
We had a weatherking natural gas with weatherking 1.5 ton A.C. installed in Oct.94'. In May,99', we had to replace the Evaporator Coil/ cost $300. In Nov.99' replaced flame rod. On 2/01', replaced Ignitor Bar and again in 4/03'. Finally replaced limit switch twice between 2006 and 2008. It just seems that it was one problem after another. Our installer confirmed that the evaporator coil should not have gone bad within that short of time. Our last repairman told us he had sold Weatherking in the past but found too many issues with them so stopped selling them.

Review:
"Used to be good"
We have a 90% WeatherKing. Never had a problem until recently. The gas supply pipe would rattle upon ignition and it would take several tries before it would ignite if at all. Most of the time it locks out because it can't light. They replaced the gas valve but the problem remains. They then replaced the control board. Problem still remains. They aslo replaced some other parts and it still does the same thing. Our hvac company that is working on this has been great as we have only paid for the gas valve. They removed the small plugs on the side for now to let more air into the furnace and it is working fine. Yes they made sure that the air inlets and outlets were not plugged. The service company has been here for several days from the early afternoon to 11 or 12 at night trying to figure this out. They now have a call into Weatherking for thier advice. It seems that the furnace is wanting to much air and not getting it. Nothing has changed as far as piping etc. I will let you know.

Review:
We bought our house with this furnace already installed. We have had the blower motor go out 2 years ago and now the igniter. This furnace cannot keep our house warmer than 65 degrees, and in Michigan that's not good enough

Review:
Had 90% efficient gas furnace that went bad after 8 years. I am told that 10 years is the typical lifetime but man the other furnace was 20+ years old. All I can say is buy the best filter you can get and change it often. On the plus side, the system is modular so only those units that needed changing were replaced. But I had to buy the whole furnace anyway.
