"No complaints eh"
I honestly have no complaints about our Trane furnace, it keeps the house plenty warm, and we live in Canada. Our first winter in the house was very cold at times, and we never had a problem. Furnace age is about 6-8 yrs old at time of writing. According to the Rep we bought our A/c from it is actually oversized (btu/h) for the house, but he also said it's tough to get a better quality then our furnace. I would definitely buy another and would recommend it to others.

"Goog Job Trane"
Solid equipment. 15 years running and only had an ignitor need replaced. Get yearly service done and the Tech says he's impressed with Trane and mentioned he rarely gets services calls. He also said he wished his company sold Trane and that he only hears good things about Trane in the tech space...he may be a little to honest if his employer heard all this. Its one of the few that manufacture their equioment in USA and not in Asia, which could explain some quality differences.

"Truly, nothing runs like a Trane!"
This was a replacement furnace in my office building, after a careless manager destroyed the first one though over-use. This is industrially designed, very rugged, and runs beautifully. My only fault with it was the price - but after using it for the better part of a year and through some of the coldest winter weather I've had here I'm satisfied that it was worth it. I haven't yet had to repair it, and it runs day and night without fault. Ours is a large manufacturing facility, and this furnace heats the offices and sales floor. It's been a great product to have, and I'd recommend this brand to anyone who needs high-performance heating.

"Efficient but Expensive to Maintain"
We have had good luck with our Trane xv90 High Efficiency and xl14i AC. We have had just 2 problems. We save on our gas bill but yearly inspections at $90 each and two breakdowns in five years are a concern. The first breakdown was a $15 cleaning of a flame sensor that ended up being a $144 billing. Today, this second breakdown is a gas valve at $268 that is costing $370. The repair technition said this valve should not breakdown in five years time. Whatever I am saving in natural gas is being consumed by these costs to maintain. I will try the warrenty route with Trane on this gas valve but do your best research on installers, product, and service reputations before you buy.

"No problems"
I bought a XV95 2 Stage Variable Speed Furnace 3 years ago. I have had maintenance service done every year as recommended and have experienced no problems at this time. My XL14 Air conditioner 2ton has also had no difficulty. With a Tempstar in a past home requiring numerous service calls for various things within the first couple of years. I find this refreshing.

"XV90 first hiccup in 4.5 years"
Had an installer who worked for a local contractor give me a deal on this unit and a Goodman outdoor unit. Both have worked without a hitch. The guy who was told that you can't use a programmable thermostat with the xv90 has either been greatly lied to or the specs have greatly changed. Since it is dual stage and has a variable speed fan, it works even better with a programmable thermostat. Been using one since day installed. Looking now for a new gas valve as mine seems to have developed a problem with the pilot regulator pressure. This part is made by White-Rodgers, but will only ding Trane once since I probably won't get any warranty service on this covered part.
