"Trane high efficiency furnace"
I bought the new Trane with the continuous run fan and I love it. It has not cost me a dime other than the yearly check up ($80.00). It has cut my gas bill down by over $200.00 a month in the winter. I never shut it off. I have my central air on all summer and have never had any problems with it even if it was one of the first of that model installed in my city. Maybe the problems the people are dealing with have something to do with poor maintenance.

"Trane Xe60"
My Trane has been exemplary. I love my Trane furnace. In the 22 years I have had it, I have had to replace the fan motor twice. The furnace itself has never failed. Not once. The Trane AC unit was replaced after 18 years, but my xe60 keeps on running and running and running. I replaced my Trane AC with a Trane. I plan to replace my now 22 year old Trane furnace with a Trane.

"XE60 Gas Furnace"
I have two homes. Both a 20 year old Trane xe 60 gas furnaces. The AC unit has been replaced, but the furnace is still running strong. I am starting to look at replacing the unit because nothing lasts forever and I don't want to be in a position of being forced to replace it in the middle of a cold winter. This xe60 may not be the most efficient, but it sure has been a strong trouble-free unit.

"Trane makes great products"
Folks who are having issues with your Trane - I have to agree with the contactor/installers who have added reviews here. Don't be cheap and do your homework to work with a Trane dealer. I am a homeowner and landlord with 3 rentals and 2 primary residence. I know furnace issues in a big way. I have two dwellings with gas forced air furnaces. I have a York in my primary residence that costs me $400 annually (beyond my yearly maintenance fee) for labor and replacement parts. However, in my rental. I had a Trane that recently broke. Unfortunately for me, my tenant was a furnace maintenance person who didn't do maintenance in the property as we had agreed. Over the course of the 3 years that he lived in my rental, he didn't change the filters ... so the heat exchanger cracked. Go figure. Both furnaces were installed a week apart in 1994. But the Trane only had 2 service calls in 15 years and the York had at least 2 service calls every year for 15 years. If my repairs on the York cost me $400 yearly - do the math. That's $6000 in repairs in 15 years for the York where the Trane had 2 services calls at $400 total in 15 years. I'm replacing my 80% efficient lemon York with a 95% efficient Trane. Hands down, Trane is the best!

"Great Product"
I installed my Trane Furnace and hundred of others. I found it the most reliable ever. As a installer and a user, I find 99% of any failure is due to incorrect installation. Taking a corvette on a moto track, wow it fell apart, it must be junk! Get a real professional to install it properly for your application and it will give you great life.

"Simply the Best"
I purchased a new Trane 96.6 efficient dual stage furnace, and a 17ceer single stage air conditioner. Also, got the clean effects. This equip, emt has been the best. Have not had any problems since the initial install. I do not know what all your problems are, but feel sorry. Was installed by licensed professionals who are trained every year in new technology.

"Perhaps Heat Pumps are just not good in general"
I bought a Trane 1200 a/c and gas furnace with an air cleaner and have had no problems whatsoever. Maintenance guy says the inside looks as clean as the day it was installed. Now I'm needing to replace a heat pump system in another house but after reading such bad reviews from all brands, perhaps heat pumps are just not the right technology....it does seem strange that the 22 year old Carrier I'm replacing did fine with only 1 minor repair in the last 4 years until yesterday when the fan motor died. I'm definitely spending more time looking for the right installer and concentrating less on price but more on the labor warranty....whatever I save on initial price could be eaten up the month after the warranty expires.

"Trane XV 95"
This furnace was just installed (xv95) two months ago. Also, it is not getting much of a workout being these are the summer months. Inspector said the installation was very good. He had only minor comments on improvements that could have been made. I intend to give another evaluation after one year. I'm hoping for the best. I used a contractor that was recommended by the gas utility.

"trane xv 90, xl13i heatpump"
I installed this equipment in my home. A xv90 and a xl13i heat pump. First of all, on the outdoor unit the capacitor, and contactor are normal maintenance, they last 5-7 years. I install for a living at a local company, now Trane is the most install and service friendly units. They have the most bells and whistles, for all of u having problems: 1. You had a below average installer, 2. U need annual maintenance checks, just like an oil change, 3. No equipment will perform or last if the duct sizing isn't correct, and equipment must be sized properly for the home. So, quit being so cheap people, and pay for a quality contractor, then it will last,period...Trane units are simply the most efficient, and the most reliable. Voltage, airflow, duct size, location, equipment size all matters, do it right the first time.
