"BW mechanical"
I have been installing Trane for over 15 years, the furnace is by far the easiest furnace on the market to get parts for and every problem I run into is usually an install issue. It just goes to show how important the install is. You pay a little more for the product but side by side comparison shows the Trane is 20 pounds heavier due to better made materials. And if you want btu,s in a box buy some junk like goodman, duccane, or Lemnox. Remember you are just another job to some contractors. Find a contractor who stands behind there work and you will find a Trane dealer.

"Outstanding"
Boughts an XC95m Furnance, CleanEffect filter and xr15 a/C. Replaced Carrier units that lasted on 8 years. Th ekey is finding a reputable installer...the completed a thurough analysyss and found the return ducts to small for the sized units I have, explained that it creates issues when the furnance can't draw the required air. One of the reasons why the old furnance lasted only 8 years. 8 months into the new equipmenyt and everything ruins greate, seeing an 30% drop in electricy usages and Gas is down about 20%. While Trane is expensive its a purchase I would make again. Can't emphasize enough to make sure you find the right installer.

"Best comfort ever"
The service received from our Trane dealer, was nothing but the best and most professional in all regards. We truly appreciate the personal contacts, the patience with our decisions, and the professional and caring manner with which they handled our furnace and venting needs. Our appreciation for the Product and company has been shared with many of our friends, and I trust that they will call should any of them have a need for your services.

"Works great"
So far we've had no issues with our xv95 Trane furnace, It's been well over a year now and not one issue. I don't know a thing about furnaces or installing them but I imagine there's some merit to having a good installer who knows what there doing and takes pride in there work. Good luck all.

"Trane XB80"
I added a Trane xb80 2.5 ton system to my home when I remodeled 4 1/2 years ago to cover 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, while the old Carrier Weathermaker 8000 (25 years old) covers the living areas. The hvac subcontractor recommended adding the additional sytem and replacing all ductwork in addition to re-routing to create 2 zones. I have not had a bit of trouble. All I have done to the system is replace the air filter about every 10 weeks. It is in the attic (above the study where I spend a lot of time) and I have not found it to be noisy. My Carrier finally died 2 days ago and I will be replacing it with a Trane xv80. I also have not had any trouble (until now) with the Carrier in the 10+ years I've lived in this house; however, I doubt you can compare reliability of any hvac company based on products 25 years ago. Companies and products change over time. The more recent Trane has proved to be reliable, so I will stick with Trane.

"2-stage Comfort"
We brought our very first home, and the house had the 1968 furnace in it, and gas budget was about $175 a month. After a couple of months, the fan motor went out. Time for an update. My parents had a Trane in the house i grew up in, and been very pleased with it. I called local Trane dealer to give up a quote, and got what I thought was a fair price. I have a Trane XV90 two stage gas furnace with variable speed blower. The unit is 6 years old, and never had any issues. I do my annual fall check up to make sure all is good before I fire it off for the heating season. The unit is paired up with the Honeywell IAQ stat, and the comfort from the two stage is great for our Minnesota winter. I'd get another Trane if we need to get a new one. FYI, I work retail, and bad comments/review are going to be heard more than a happy ones! So, don't let these review stop you from getting a new system.

"Any Brand Including Trane"
I am professional, in HVAC industry, it is not the equipment that causes problems, 95% of the time. Guess what it is, most of the time home owner who doesn't maintain the equipment and offten is the half qualified Installer who doesn't size it right and wrongly installes it. Thats the problem 95% of the times. When my company installes any of the brands, our customers enjoy trouble free comfort for many years to come. No we are not cheap guys, we do charge for our expert work. Those guys that complain, stop blaiming someone else, it probably is your fault. Think about it!

"Trane Furnace"
This is in response to many of the reviews, including the one by LEH. It is very important to know that a large majority of the problems are from improper installation. When fittings are loose, its probably because they arent tightened properly at install. Or the install/service company didn't solder the joints properly and is covering their own mistakes by blaming it on the equipment. Also, mechanical valves do go back...but most likely the sensing bulbs for these valves were removed during install when the joints were soldered and they burned the vales up. Also, water leaks are almost always from poor installation....otherwise they would be replacing the drain pans inside the units. Just be sure you know WHO installed the unit and be sure of the job they did before you run around telling everyone the equipment is junk.

"Works very well"
I had an xv95 installed Jan. 2009 to replace an old 1960's vintage furnace. I like it very well, except had to replace the circuit board about a month after I bought it. Other than that it has worked exceptionally well, and it uses way less gas.

"No poblems here"
I am a Trane dealer and I would never sell another brand. 10 year parts warranty and lifetime on heat exchangers. Their should be no warranty charge for parts like alot of you have said, labour maybe, I don't charge labour if I have a problem in the first year. Trane always stands behind their products. Problems that u are having is from poor installation or poorly trained installation and service techs. Trane does provide training free of charge but it is not mandatory and alot of owners will not send employees to training (they think it cost them money). I feel the more my employees know about our products the better the installs will be and the happier my customers. Intermitant problems are difficult to detect as I am sure all of you are aware, most of them stem from lack/poor maintenance. These are high tech furnaces and must be properly maintained, the blower must be removed and cleaned and this allows you to clean the heat exchanger as well, burners, drains, needs to be done also. Flame sensors should be cleaned only for a quick fix and then replaced. When you clean them you scratch the surface and the get dirty quicker. If I had this many problems I would be out of buisness and the opposite is true we are growing. Any problems that I run into with Trane products are installed by others who do not care and will not stand behind their shabby workmanship. You people need to go Tranes web site and contact them, try to be nice and I am sure you will get some help
