""No poblems here""
I am a Trane dealer and I would never sell another brand. 10 year parts warranty and lifetime on heat exchangers. Their should be no warranty charge for parts like alot of you have said, labour maybe, I don't charge labour if I have a problem in the first year. Trane always stands behind their products. Problems that u are having is from poor installation or poorly trained installation and service techs. Trane does provide training free of charge but it is not mandatory and alot of owners will not send employees to training (they think it cost them money). I feel the more my employees know about our products the better the installs will be and the happier my customers. Intermitant problems are difficult to detect as I am sure all of you are aware, most of them stem from lack/poor maintenance. These are high tech furnaces and must be properly maintained, the blower must be removed and cleaned and this allows you to clean the heat exchanger as well, burners, drains, needs to be done also. Flame sensors should be cleaned only for a quick fix and then replaced. When you clean them you scratch the surface and the get dirty quicker. If I had this many problems I would be out of buisness and the opposite is true we are growing. Any problems that I run into with Trane products are installed by others who do not care and will not stand behind their shabby workmanship. You people need to go Tranes web site and contact them, try to be nice and I am sure you will get some help

"Great Purchase"
I'm only through two winters with this furnance and have been very happy. Its runs w/o much noise, which is a plus. I got the communicating furnance and thermastat, which allows me to monitor and set all setting from my phone, which is way cool.

Had the Trane installed four years ago with no issues. I really like this furnance, we've had bitterly cold wintgers and this furnance has been a gem.

"Goog Job Trane"
Solid equipment. 15 years running and only had an ignitor need replaced. Get yearly service done and the Tech says he's impressed with Trane and mentioned he rarely gets services calls. He also said he wished his company sold Trane and that he only hears good things about Trane in the tech space...he may be a little to honest if his employer heard all this. Its one of the few that manufacture their equioment in USA and not in Asia, which could explain some quality differences.

"Best of the best"
Bought an XC95m furnace, CleanEffects Air Cleaner and XL16i A/C unit. What an awesome system! Our gas budgeted dropped from $220/mth to $175/mth and electric budget dropped form $190/mth to $120/mth. Its an expensive set-up but we don't plan on moving from this house so we will re-coop the investment. Our prior furnance(Carrier) was bleeding us dry with repair costs so we needed to upgrade anyway. Trane system is quite, efficient, keeps temperature steady, doesn't seem to struggle no matter the outside temp - its been a winner. The CleanEffects is amazing!. The amount of crap it pulls from the air is awesome. I clean it monthly because it seems to pull so much out of the air. My wife even notices that we have much less dust settling on the furniture. Love it!

"Keep me warm this winter with a good furnace!"
I recently bought (this last fall) a new furnace for my house. My old furnace, a Coleman brand, finally gave up on the first cold night of the fall, so I knew it was time to buy a new one before the really cold weather came. I looked at many brands and models, and decided to buy a Trane xb80 furnace, as this is the model my neighbor had, who has an identical house. The neighbor stated that he too had looked at many different furnaces, but that decided on the Trane unit based on the cost, the output of the heat, and the quietness of the furnace. I couldn't be happier with my selection, as the furnace has worked flawlessly for the past few months, even when the temperature got down to below zero for a few days. The furnace has an air cleaner that filters the air that helps keep the dust and pollen from blowing through the house. The xb80 is also very quiet, and energy efficient. My monthly gas bill is abut 15% lower than it was last year for the same period of time. I would recommend this unit to any of my friends!

""Great""
Had X95m Gas Furnance installed two years ago. Could not wish for mnore. Its quite and my heating bills dropped by 35% and cooling bill dropped a whopping 45%. Installer was great, did follow-ups to verify performance and our satisfaction. Had a 6 year old Carrier System replaced that was nothing but problems from day 1. Make sure you find a very good installer, a great furnance installed poorly will perform poorly. Be carefull of low-ball prices the same way you would of overpriced products.

""Trane installer""
All of you that review Tranes product or most any product with anything less than a very satisfied need to find a new company to work on your equipment. Ive been a Contractor for 6 years now, and not a single system out of all 4 brands we sell has ever had as many problems as some of you have. u should really post what specific model u have, my guess is that your company installed the cheapest units available, also called "builder model" units. Our company refuses to sell these models as they are garbage, and are lucky to last 10 years. maybe its your installer that u should give a bad review of, not your equipment. if uve gone through that many parts, your installer should have a trane rep come out and inspect the installation. They have techs available in most states that go out for calls where the units continue to fail. ask about it. if your installer says no. dont use them again, they dont wanna find out they did a terrible install. The best equipment will not work if its not installed and sized correct.

"trane xv 90, xl13i heatpump"
I installed this equipment in my home. A xv90 and a xl13i heat pump. First of all, on the outdoor unit the capacitor, and contactor are normal maintenance, they last 5-7 years. I install for a living at a local company, now Trane is the most install and service friendly units. They have the most bells and whistles, for all of u having problems: 1. You had a below average installer, 2. U need annual maintenance checks, just like an oil change, 3. No equipment will perform or last if the duct sizing isn't correct, and equipment must be sized properly for the home. So, quit being so cheap people, and pay for a quality contractor, then it will last,period...Trane units are simply the most efficient, and the most reliable. Voltage, airflow, duct size, location, equipment size all matters, do it right the first time.

"XV 95"
This furnace was just installed (xv95) two months ago. Also, it is not getting much of a workout being these are the summer months. Inspector said the installation was very good. He had only minor comments on improvements that could have been made. I intend to give another evaluation after one year. I'm hoping for the best. I used a contractor that was recommended by the gas utility.
