"Trane XL90"
I have been very pleased with the Trane equipment. I have had other brands and Trane has proven the most reliable and least expensive to repair. I have regular preventative maintenance every year. The installing contractor has more to do with the performance than people give credit!

"Would buy again"
Great furnance, installers were great. Aside from writing the check, the whole process was a pleasure. The new furnance works as advertised: it quite, efficient and never breaks down. I stay current in all maintenance, which is important for something as critical as a gas furnance.

"Trane is quality"
Replaced old Trane furnance that was 25+ years old with a Trane XR90 unit. The old unit still worked, it was just time to get a more efficient unit. I expect that same quality as my prior Trane, time will tell. The new system is only three years old. So far everything works as promised. Quality builds loyalty and I'm sold on Trane!

"Premium Brand"
I'm a contracor and have the flexibility to install almost any major brand I want. Over the course of my 25years in the business, I've been an factory installer for three brands and I've serviced all the major brands. One things I've seen, easlity 75% of furnance repairs for equipment under 8 years old are due to poor installation and/or maintance. People should first look to their installer - make sure you get one who backs up their work - check BBB and refernces/Friends/etc. Now to Trane, I can attest to the value that Trane presents. They are consistantly one of the best quality products out there. They make their equipemnt in the USA, you'd be surprose how much equipment comes out of Asian sweat shops. One of the prior reviews talked about how hard parts are to get for Trane - thats is a lie your contractor is telling you - Trane has Warehouses throughout the USA with parts. I've never had to wait longer than 24 hrs. When sonething goes bad its usually happens within the first 30 days, electronics are that way. I know that Trane tests their Furnances and A/C equipment before it leaves the factory(sometines twice). Its a premium brand - so its expensive compared to other equipement - you just need to decide whats it worth to you. I highly recommend Trane over any other brand. Make sure you do your homework on your service comnpany - it can make all the difference.

"Recommend"
Great Brand - high quality. Hard to believe anyone has a bad experience with this equipment - can only attest to the value of a good installer. We've had our new furnance, XC90i for two years now. Great machine, runs quite and keeps the house toasty warm. Installers were great, addressed a few issues with the duct work that the last installer made(Carrier).

"Trane, it never stops."
It is very new, therefore I cannot review fully yet but so far very efficient! It is quiet which is a big deal for me. Haven't had any snow, therefore cannot comment on its defrosting abilities but so far handles great in the rain.

"Great Product"
Installed new furnance with modulating gas valve and variable fan. What a great furnance this has been. I've owned probably more than 6 different furnance brands in my life, without a doubt this is the best. This furnance never seems taxed, handles keeping the house warm no matter the outside conditions. Like they say, the good ones make it look easy.

"Value"
New Trane Furnance installed 8 months ago. Model XV90 with Traneffects air cleaner. Yes, its expensive ... seems about 15% more than a Carrier system. Was sold on the features and service recommendaitons from several sources. Not disappointed. What a quality system. I guess any manufacure can have some problems, but in my experience it's a best buy.

"Great Furnance"
Purchased a entire Trane set-up, XC95m Furnance, Tran Clean ffects Aircleaner, Trane Humidifier and Trane X16i A/C. Replaced a Carrier set-up that went bad in 8 years and was nothing but a pain. The difference is amazing, I barely hear it running, gas bill has gone down over 30% and the unit is made like a tank. The temperture swings are none existent, about 1.5 degrees. I had some cold spots in the house in some upper bedrooms which soemhow this system removed. Its expensive, dropped $11,000 which was hard to do, but we prcied other options and a new carrier set-up was the same price and some other lesser known brands were only about $1,500 cheaper. I would make sure you get the best installer you can, its makes all the difference. Make sure they do a load analysis on your house, they found our return ducts too small for the A/C we had and the furnance BTU’s too small for the size of house. We paid the price of javing a poor instaler the last time.

"Almost makes me wish it stays cold"
New XV95 Furnance. Very happy. Quality is top notch, this thing even weighs more than the others. We've had a long and cold winter and this furnace puts my prior furnance to shame. Couldn't be happier, sure it costs a bit more than some others but its worth it. We have a larger house(4,000sqft). This furnace never had a problem, someohow it even got rid of some of the cold spots in the house with creating a bunch of hot spots. Was told this was due to the 2 stage blower being more effective.
