Lived with a lemon furnace by Carrier for 6 years and finally got fed up and took the dive. Wish I would of made the change sooner. It's night and day. I no longer have to turn the tv up to listen to the game when the furnace kicks on. All I hear is the slight sound of air moving through the vents. The way it should be! Our gas bill dropped over $80 per month(30%) and with the tax credit the install will pay for itself in less than 5 years! I should of made this change sooner!

"Wonderful product"
Trane furnace installations are straightforward. Their new communicating system only requires three wires. Ours is the top of line XC95m model. It's a condensing furnace so it used pvc to connect to the outside to breath. It's the quietest furnace I've had. My last furnace sounded like a jet engine starting up. This furnace starts and runs so quietly I actually had to put my hand over the register to see if I could feel any air. It was on but we couldn't hear a thing. Amazing! We hired the best hvac company in our area to assure a quality install was done and that great service would be provided. So far its been great.

To Stephanie Angelos from Kenmore, WA: Common sense says if you hire a cheap installer you get a cheap installation. Trane is not exempt from that, nor is any manufacturer. So if you are complaining about a product, its likely you didn't do your due diligence and hire a good contractor as well. Based on your description, its all contractor related- any manufacturer setup that way would cause your problems. I have 20 duplex rentals and over 40 A/C units installed in Central Ohio. Recently replaced 6 Carrier A/C units with Trane XB units. I've had a collective 80yrs of Trane experience and can state that Trane is as good as anything out there - just get it installed correctly. Key points: Contractor should do load calc, check return duct work for sizing, verify air supply lines, assure drain lines for A-coil, location of compressor (north facing is best), blower speed, coolant pressure, air pressure in ducts(pre/post), dehumidification requirements, blower capacity, coolant lines (should get replaced)...just to name a few. A lot of contractors are happy to slap in a system and leave, they are not true professionals. Do research and ask a lot of questions, if you don't like what you hear - move on.

I have installed hundreds units of every brand.I do not service so i can not say much on that.the trane units seam to have alot nicer case.I have a 21 year old trane unit now and never had a problem other than a blower wheel wearing out.I am replacing all my units this month with new trane.

Bought XL80 for my rentals here in Ma. I have 5 rentals and three needed new furnances, replaced prior carrier untits that were 10 years old. The new furnances have been installed for 3 tears now and have performed as promised. Very happy, no call backs from renters. Highly recommend, anything that makes my job as landlord easier and keeps renter happy and paying their rent is great.

"Warm winter"
I recently bought (this last fall) a new furnace for my house. I looked at many brands and models, and decided to buy a Trane xv90 furnace. Decided on the Trane unit based on the cost, the output of the heat, and the quietness of the furnace. I couldn't be happier with my selection, as the furnace has worked flawlessly for the past few months, even when the temperature got down to below zero for a few days. The furnace has an air cleaner that filters the air that helps keep the dust and pollen from blowing through the house. My monthly gas bill is abut 20% lower than it was last year for the same period of time. I would recommend this unit to any of my friends!

"Great Quality and Support"
Installed a new Trane furnance, humidifier, A/C and Air Cleaner. It's been a great system for the last 4 years. I had some questions on the set-up and how to run it most efficiently, the installer made a special trip and spent time with me so I completely understood how to run this system efficiently. They even called back a couple weeks later as a follow-up. It's been a great experience, no issues and lower utlity bills !

I installed my Trane Furnace and hundred of others. I found it the most reliable ever. As a installer and a user, I find 99% of any failure is due to incorrect installation. Taking a corvette on a moto track, wow it fell apart, it must be junk! Get a real professional to install it properly for your application and it will give you great life.

"21 years going strong Trane"
One minor repair on Trane in 21 years. Just had an inspection and cleaning, tech found no problem. Despite higher cost, Trane is only unit I will buy
