"trane xv 90, xl13i heatpump"
I installed this equipment in my home. A xv90 and a xl13i heat pump. First of all, on the outdoor unit the capacitor, and contactor are normal maintenance, they last 5-7 years. I install for a living at a local company, now Trane is the most install and service friendly units. They have the most bells and whistles, for all of u having problems: 1. You had a below average installer, 2. U need annual maintenance checks, just like an oil change, 3. No equipment will perform or last if the duct sizing isn't correct, and equipment must be sized properly for the home. So, quit being so cheap people, and pay for a quality contractor, then it will last,period...Trane units are simply the most efficient, and the most reliable. Voltage, airflow, duct size, location, equipment size all matters, do it right the first time.

"No problems"
30 year old house with original furnace. Old furnace worked but I decided to replace it with something more efficient before it died. Did a little homework and Trane looked like it was ok. I am checking "very satisfied" but honestly how excited can you get over a furnace? It keeps the house warm as expected and the only maintenance I do is replace the $1 filter in the winter months. Yippee.

"Don't Understand"
Some people will hate Lexus, Mercedes, Ferrari. Does thet mean that a Kia is a better made product. No!! It seems many people should be more frustrated with their own local contractor than Trane. Trane builds the Best products in the industry. Hands Down. Anybody in the business, thats being honest with you, will support that. Go with a contrator that gets regular training from the factory, and backs up their product with extensive customer support.

"Trane installer"
All of you that review Tranes product or most any product with anything less than a very satisfied need to find a new company to work on your equipment. Ive been a Contractor for 6 years now, and not a single system out of all 4 brands we sell has ever had as many problems as some of you have. u should really post what specific model u have, my guess is that your company installed the cheapest units available, also called "builder model" units. Our company refuses to sell these models as they are garbage, and are lucky to last 10 years. maybe its your installer that u should give a bad review of, not your equipment. if uve gone through that many parts, your installer should have a trane rep come out and inspect the installation. They have techs available in most states that go out for calls where the units continue to fail. ask about it. if your installer says no. dont use them again, they dont wanna find out they did a terrible install. The best equipment will not work if its not installed and sized correct.

"install these"
I install these furnaces and what you people say is every furnace is gonna have trouble and most of these problems every furnace has. dirty flame sensors and ignitors. It's gonna happen in any new furnace. we switched from ICP product furnaces and I have never been back to fix one in 2 years. However we get calls for Lennox's so often I would never install one, plus servicing those furnaces are retarded. They should think about it. They have parts screwed in from behind things making you take a handful of parts off just to get to two measly screws. Every newer furnace is gonna have problems.

"2008 Trane"
I am happy with the overall heating and efficiency. The unit is fairly loud, but the furnace is located in my hallway Furnace closet. After about two weeks of operation in the summer the blower motor went out (Emerson motor, no grease was put in the bearings), the contractor replaced it within 2 days.

"New Trane Furnace/Humidifier will not work"
I have a new Trane xr-80 gas Furnace and Humidifier installed July '08. Did not turn on until October. The thermostat is set on #5, which should provide 45% humidity. It will not go above 30%. The dealer's service Tec’s have been here three times. The last time the rewired the Humidifier so that it would run when the fan only was on and advised to run continuously. I ran for 12 hours and the drain line was outputting 4 gallons per hour, the humidity remained at 30%.The tech verified that my humidity gauge was correct!
