"Runs Great"
Have a 2 stage 95% efficiency condensing Tempstar furnace, installed by self and careful old contractor. Gas bills dropped 25 to 30%, temperature in house much more even and comfortable at a lower thermostat setting. Has ran fine for 5 years, regular maintenance of condensing drain system, trap and line is a must with these units, watch for leaks etc. Also have a high quality electrostatic intake filter, which I clean regular, as well as the fan compartment. People probably put the cheapest filter they can find in a $3000 furnace no doubt, but not smart. This sort of care takes a few minutes now and then but pays off handsomely in maintenance bills.

"High Efficiency Condensing Gas Furnance"
Just replaced Lennox Furnace and ac unit with new TempStar High Efficiency Condensing Gas Furnace and Split System r-410a 3.5 ton with 4 ton n coil. Talk about a difference! Lower gas bill and electric bill! Very quiet unit and does a fantastic job over the old Lennox. Installer was great and was very meticulous in the installation. No wasted heat out the exhaust which is a 3 inch pvc pipe and new unit uses outside air through separate intake pvc pipe. The warranty...hands down the best I have ever seen.

"International Comfort Products"
I have been installing Tempstar furnaces For over 20 years -- very good unit if installed properly. Sometimes people don't check temperature rise (the difference between heat & return air). It's posted on rating plates of all furnaces. If the unit runs too hot the heat exchangers fail. Others install high efficiency air filters also changing the temperature rise. I installed Carrier for approx. 10 years -- don't buy one Of those if uou use propane gas -- the heat exchangers only last 10 to 15 years. Tempstar may be owned by Carrier but it's not the same.

"Tempstar is awesome"
I would buy this brand again and recommend it to others. It is the furnace part of a Tempstar split unit air conditioner with gas furnace(model f8mv/v80 series). It is very quiet. It keeps our 2500 square foot home very comfortable. Our heating bills are about 20% less than with our old unit. The furnace filter is much easier to change than with our old furnace. Our prior Tempstar unit lasted from 1989 until 2010 with no repairs. We expect we will have the same reliability from this Tempstar furnace as well.

"Worked great"
Bought the house in 2001 and the Tempstar was already in installed. Plate says it was made in 1992. Ran great until this year when the exhaust motor went out. Spent 400 on the motor and then asked the technician if we should just replace the furnace (18 years old). He said if we wanted to to with a new furnace he would credit the $400. 99% sure we're going with Tempstar again but some of these reviews are making me think twice.

"Highly Recommend"
Replaced a 37 year old Armstrong with this t9mpx 95% afue unit. Extremely quiet. Never know that it is on except when near a vent. Heating bill has been reduced by nearly half. Installation was handled in a very professional manner by Gunter H & AC. The entire crew of 5 men are on top of their game. Thanks, Teddy. Couldn't be happier.

"Tempstar Furnace is good"
Have the Tempstar 2-stage furnace and wife likes it. Runs on low a lot. Flame sensor problem once but I cleaned it myself after the serviceman showed me. Quieter than the old unit and smaller burners, 80,000 size. We like it and would not complain. Surprised at some of these guys, must have dirty house or ducts or something.

I have been installing Tempstar for 11 years. My first one was installed in my mother's home. I've never had a service call. I Don't know what to think when I read so many bad reviews. I'm still selling and installing them until they let me down. 11 years works for me.

"Happy !"
I had a new Tempstar vs90 furnace and 14 seer heat pump installed last year. Compared to the old oil furnace, it is saving me big money in the winter. So far no problems to report. The unit is also very quiet. Can barely hear it running when it kicks on. I would recommend Tempstar to anyone. Properly installed, they'll give the same, if not better, performance than a much more expensive Carrier or Lennox, which I also got estimates on. Glad I made the choice I did.
