"ruud service"
The biggest problem with the furnaces acting up, it usually pertains to the installation. A couple of things you can do is take the side plug out to let the furnace recieve more combustion air. Alot of the problems with the pressure switches is water backing up in them and inadequate venting. If your furnace is vented with 2" pvc and has alot of turns, it most likely will act up. Bigger venting allows more air in and more air out, the shortest distance possible is something we always try to achieve, they seem to have less problems with shorter distances and bigger vent pipes. Most likely if its acting up a lot, something wasn't done right from the get go.

"Ruud Modulating Furnace"
We love our Ruud Modulating Furnace! I would recommend this furnace to anyone! When properly installed (because of it's high technology, it does require special training). It is the best furnace out there. Even won Consumer Digest top honors! We replaced our 25 year old Ruud with a Ruud. The best thing you can do for your return on investment is have your unit maintained each and every year! We did this on our older furnace and only replaced due to tax credits and consumer rebates that were being offered at the time. My last gas bill was only $40. Yes, $40!!! One thing our HVAC tech told us is to make sure you run your fan constantly; this allows constant air flow throughout your home. And no, my electric bills are not out of line. Love the Ruud products and will continue to purchase them!

"Ruud review"
I have 4 Ruud Deluxe 90 Plus furnaces that were installed in 1986. They have been reliable, energy efficient (90+ in 1986!), and quiet. I have replaced the squirrel cage on one unit, and the fan blower on one other. Overall, all four have served me well, and continue to perform after 23 years of MidMichigan winters.

"My Ruud Furnace"
I have read alot of negative reviews all of them are from poor installation. I have had my Ruud acheiver for 10 years with only having to clean the flame sensor. I live in the desert with alot of dust and this is to be expected. I have read about circuit boards shorting out from moisture on condensating furnces. This is due to improper venting and the inducer motor has a hole in it to bleed off the extra water so you will know. I have heard about heat exchangers burning out. Did you know that you are supposed to set the temperature rise on every furnace and when over fired it shortens the life of the heat exchanger. Blower motors burning out and furnace that short cycle leaving cold areas are due to poor duct design or poor load calculations. I am a contractor and have installed alot of different furnaces and have had no problems with any one of them. What it comes down to is the installing contractor and what he knows. Remember a cheap job great and a great job is never cheap.

"Ruud furnace review"
I have a Ruud Deluxe 80+ furnace which is 23 years old (we bought it when we bought our house) and the only problem we have had in that entire time is a motor which had to be replaced after 11 years. Other than this we have never had to call for service. I was reading through the reviews because we are thinking about replacing it even though it is still working fine. Since the furnace is 23 years old we don't want to push our luck.

"Sales"
I am very happy with my ruud Mod 90 furnace. I was unsure when the unit was offered because of the negative comments I had read about the company's furnaces. My contractor quickly told me that this furnace requires special training before it can be sold / installed, and most problems mentioned are due to improper installation and maintenance. This unit is great and has saved me hundreds of dollars in heating bills.

"Great piece of Equipment"
I had a 92% 2-stage 60,000btu furnace installed in my house in 2004. Works wonderfully. I haven't had a single issue w/ it. Way quieter than the Bryant I replaced it with. I know Ruud has had its issues in the past w/ their early-mid 1990's 90+ models, but they did a great job w/ this furnace.
