"MAYTAG FURNACE"
Very bad customer service with maytag contractors, I have many problems with it and when I call the contractor FAGNAN's furnace services, They want to charge me for part and labor even I have 10 years warranty . their excuse that Maytag doesn't pay them.

"Very Bad Furnace"
We had a Maytag furnace installed in 2006. It is high efficiency and was very expensive. It has never worked properly. We have to have someone out several times a year to fix it. It stops working all the time. I'm now ready to throw it out and buy a new furnace. Any suggestions on what brand I should buy?

"Terrible Furnace"
We had this top line furnace installed in 2006 and have had nothing but trouble with it. It has broken down twice, the heat in our home is uneven and unpleasant, and it sounds like a train coming through the house when the furnace starts up. It is now 2012 and we're tossing this piece of junk and replacing it with a furnace that works. $5000+ furnace heating over a period of 6 years...now being thrown out...pretty bad investment and our monthly heating costs were way higher than we ever had with the furnace that came with the home when we purchased it.Maytag should be reimbursing owners of these rotten furnaces that were sold around 2006. Not sure what kind of Maytag furnace is being sold in 2012 but be careful when purchasing a Maytag!

"Do not purchase in the State of Minnesota"
We had a furnace tune-up and was told our co level was higher than normal and we should either repair or replace our nine year old Carrier. Not expecting such a major purchase it was a shock. After agonizing over how much to spend and which brand to buy, I put in a Maytag. After one day it stopped working and the installer came out to repair it. After the second day it stopped working and now waiting on a repair. Water is building up inside the furnace and they apparently aren't sure how to stop it. Don't buy a Maytag in Minnesota.

"MAYTAG LEMON HEATER"
I bought a Maytag M1200 lemon heater not a furnace! 16 months installed and 11 service calls for repairs. The v/s blower fan was not balanced from factory and required replacement right from the start. I should have know it was trouble from the start. Since then, thermostate problems, electrical board replacements, and burner issues. The unit cycles on and off excessively and is noiser than my 18 year old unit it replaced. I plan to have it replaced with something reliable.

Review:
"don't buy a Maytag furnace!"
Buying this furnace was the worst decision ever. It first broke down in a few months and has required many service calls since. The flame sensor ceases to work and all it does is cycle rapidly and blow cold air - not helpful in an Alberta winter.

Review:
"Maytag Furnace"
Since having the furnace installed in October of 2007, I have had two gas leaks at valve connections in the furnace requiring emergency service. Fortunately, I have caught it before it was life threatening. I have been on the hook for the entire $200+ labour bill each time. The warranty is very misleading.

Review:
"Maytag high efficiency, no heat ,crap"
This furnace has broken down 3 times in a year and for 4 months of that we had it shut off. (for the summer) I hate this stupid thing. The first time it quit (3 months old) we were away and our house froze up. It was making weird noises so they changed the fan or some such thing. The vent pipe had frozen up so they said it shut down because of that. Now when it starts acting up it blows on low but the burner won't kick in and it starts clicking, zapping and then clunking. Second time it did it this went on for two hours then it started working again.. third time for four hours. (I suspect that the first time, when the vent pipe froze up when we were away it was probably also doing this) When it is heating and comes on high it is so noisy that you have to turn up the T.V. I wouldn't recommend this furnace to anyone!!! I'm ready to pitch this piece of junk in the garbage.
