"Junk"
This was by far the worst furnace I have ever owned. I have had the main circuit board replaced and then the main motor burned up. This was supposed to be a decent furnace. I had planned on more than 3 years use. When the motor died, I had the technicians try to find a replacement motor only to learn they have been back ordered for 2 weeks with no idea when they will be available. In 20 degree weather, this is unacceptable. I will never own another Luxaire product.

"HAS NOT WORKED RIGHT EVER! NOT FROM DAY ONE! NO ONE KNOWS WHY!"
We had this Luxaire furnace installed on 12-29-09! Very first day, contractor gone for 2 hours, it blew cold air all around! Hasn't stopped since!! If we leave the bottom panel off of the furnace, it has always managed to start by the 3rd attempt! It will be a cold night when it finally dies! After 3, count them 1,2,3,!!!!! circuit boards, gas valves, rewiring, countless other "fixes" still doesn't work! I think the manufacturer will have it fixed or replaced maybe by the time I die! Our mid-winter trip to the Dells explain that to kids!! Has been cancelled and rescheduled after assurances it would be fixed. And yet again, next week is coming and the part still hasn't shipped from the factory! Must be coming from Pluto! I can't believe this company is still in business. I can't afford to replace and they won't replace this junk furnace! I have even asked for my old gas guzzling furnace back, more like begged for it back, but it is already gone! I should have just kept socking out money for more gas than to have to go through this nightmare. My water has already frozen up once, because I turned the heat off when I leave the house and sometimes at night, because I desperately want to get a night of sleep, without having to get up and turn off the cold air! I'll just have to move my house to Florida!! After all this, I am thankful that it works part of the time, I just wish that this company would seem to care about their consumers! What can we do?

"Concern"
I did buy a used Luxaire furnace that had been in a house that was being demolished. There was no manual to be found,so I contacted luxaire asking for a new manual, and a wiring diagram that would help me wire my fan for continous use, to help warm my basement, they did get back to saying that they would have a dealer call. The local dealer that sold this furnace, changes to new brands as often as some people change clothes, and I do not want them in my house. Please help!Model # g9d08012upb11c Serial #eckm055316

"I Agree with Everyone Else Who Is Not Contractor"
It seems that if you're not a contractor who installs the Luxaire furnace, you're unhappy with the product. We too, have had nothing but problems since day one. Shuts itself off in cold weather. Sometimes we can't keep it running for more than an hour. We have to constantly reset it by shutting the power off and on. It's noisy and not fuel efficient (although it's a "high efficiency" furnace). I'm so fed up with this thing. Company won't stand behind it and we can't get any repair person to tell us what's wrong with it because they don't know. What a nightmare!

"crap"
I have had nothing but trouble with this thing. I have to re-set it on a daily basis (most times more than once a day). I have had pressure switches put in, control board put in, all to now avail. 4 different furnace guys have looked at it. They all say, "I don't know." I can't get through a winter without on-going problems. I am fed up, disgusted, and everything else negative with this piece of junk.

"Mr."
This is the worst furnace we have ever had. It has broken down every year since it was installed. It is extremely noisy. The only reason we haven't replaced it is because we have had other priorities.

"luxaire 95.5"
Good value for the money, quiet, installed quickly and properly has been good unit. It is quiet and my bills have been reduced from and old 50% unit by at least 50% in a cold climate. Would recommend this unit for purchase. no problems. Also two other people had this unit for at least a year or two before me and like it as well. Get a good installer, it is key!

"Efficiency is Marketing Hype; Loud/Poor"
Furnace was hyped up to me based on AFUE rating; combustion gas analyzer shows it actual performs worse than my old furnace which was 92% rated. Unit is louder and cabinet feels flimsy. Had to have a service all already and technician indicated units are a "service nightmare" because components are crammed into such a small cabinet. Also found out that Luxaire is essentially a generic York unit. From talking to those in industry York has been regarding as strong with commercial products but residential line is junk. In short, don't believe the modulating hype...I Never bought a brand new car model in the first year of production and I should have stuck to the same rule when it came to furnaces!

"Luxaire - g8v08012uha11c"
This furnace has not run straight through 1 winter yet. The furnace shuts off and we have to remove the cover to reset. It may run for another 1/2 hour maybe even a couple of days(if we are lucky), then we need to restart it again. Average temp in my house has been 65-67 degrees this cold winter. This may be a problem with installation since I cannot get the installing company to come and review this problem. My old furnace was very old, however I had to start the pilot light once in the 9 years I owned my house.
