"Lennox is Awesome!"
Most gripes seen more centered around bad service issues and installation. SLP98V I put 1 in my home, silent operation. 100's installed, yes bad icomforts + 1 out of 25 defective air switches. Lennox resolved, no problems since. Unfortunate that dealers don't bother to train their staff how to troubleshoot and install properly that is the only major problem I see. Excellent engineering by Lennox on these new units.

"Love this furnace!"
I am a regular homeowner who had a Lennox SL280v installed back in July 2012. It is matched up with a Goodman a/c unit and the furnace has performed flawlessly. It is so quiet compared to my old Lennox furnace. I love the variable speed feature and I have seen more even temperatures throughout the house. a lot of these bad reviews are do to poor install or improperly sized systems. My advice to anyone is to find a good company with a very good reputation and make sure they are bbb accredited. Install matters more than brand. Systems installed and/or sized poorly will break down all the time and you will never be satisfied. I will have to say that all brands are junk these days. I wouldn't hesitate to choose Lennox again.

"My Lennox Gas Furnace"
This Lennox Signature 80 gas furnace is great! My gas bills have gone down and it is so quiet, you can hardly tell that it is working. I am very happy with my new Lennox gas furnace!

"This Lennox has been good to us"
Ok, this is an old Lennox Pulse 21 that was discontinued 15 years ago, but, after 20.5 winters, it has been good to us. It is noisy, but we were warned that the pulse furnaces were. We get it serviced once a year and have a contract with the dealer. We have had two problems with it. The first was several years ago and I cannot remember exactly what it was, but the service contract covered the part, but not the labour as I recall. The second problem is current. We have had two techs look at it and it seems to have been the board (it has been replaced and the problem has more or less abated), but we are considering purchasing a new one as we are told parts are hard to come by and 20 years is pretty well the life of a furnace.

"Elite G61MPV 2200sq ft ranch 3 years"
We upgraded to the Elite g61mpv with New construction. We also did duel Zones Bedrooms/living area. The future 3rd Zone will be the walk out basement. Total space so far 4400sq ft including the full exposed basement helps. The furnace is quiet and blower works well with the Lennox Ac in the summer.WE Energy always has us on the lowest of the cost and usage line in comparing us with other owners. Quiet /comfortable and as cheap as it gets compared to other places I have been seen and talked to.The ac however did need some motor part 2nd summer. So far very pleased with the furnace. My expectation is 15-20 years,25 would be nice.Cost of the variable fan??? Later, and expenses will be the telling story.Ive heard good and bad about various brands. Look and ask around. understand your warranty!!

"One repair in 29 years"
We've only needed one repair on our 29 year old Lennox. Hope to make it through another winter. Looking to replace it with an efficient model. I was hoping it would be another Lennox, but not too sure after reading these reviews. I'll be checking other reviews for more information. I thought this would be simple!

"Furnace works well"
The furnace works fine and saves on heating bills. Paid around $4500 in 2010. No repairs so far for the actual furnace. Had to call the installer back five times to get the blower settings correct. Installer company never did figure it out. I'm computer literate so I read the manual and insisted the installation company call the factory. Factory told them to manually cut a switch setting to increase the fan only setting in summertime to more than 10%, to distribute air throughout the house. Basically the switch controls are over the intelligence of some installation companies. Installers just use factory settings which defeats the purpose of modern furnaces.

"EL296UHV"
This unit is very quiet. When the fan is in continuous mode I.E. just circulating air, the furnace is nearly impossible to hear. I like the 2 stage heating and variable fan concept. This furnace works great, but we also went with this brand because, the contractor has great service.

"Highly recommend this over the G61 model"
R. G. Wahl of Saline Michigan installed this for us in April of 2009 under warranty, replacing the g61 model that we had for one year - a review has been submitted for this model, of which the major complaint was the noise of the two stage blower motor. There were other complaints on that furnace as well, but the only thing I can remember was the blower motor. Now, the G51 furnace has been perfect... except for a rare occurrence, which has so far been easily resolved. It seems that whenever we return from havng been away for an extended period of time during the winter, the first night back when we turn up the thermostat, the furnace will turn off. The solution has been to reset the furnace, and it comes back on and works without another issue until we again return from an extended trip in the winter time. When we report the problem the next morning (it always happens at night, as that is when we return), we are asked for the error code that was flashing before we reset the furnace. We never remember to write this down. Probably because we are half asleep, and there is no paper and pen in the furnace room. So, as of now there is no solution, due to our own neglect in not writing down the code. But other than that, no problems in 3-1/2 years.

"Energy saver and Money saver"
In November 2011 I had sl280 furnaces installed for the upstairs and downstairs also servicing the basement. I also had a xp14 ac unit for the up stairs installed at this time. I had a Amana 14 series ac unit installed downstairs 3 years ago. I set my summer temp. this year at 76 down stairs and 78 up stairs, and winter temp last year at 70 up and 70 down. All the units blew colder air in the summer and warmer air in the winter. My average energy bill had a savings between 50 and 60 percent. My 4500 sq. ft. house feels so much more comfortable. No problem with these units at all. They run very quite. Get a good installer. That is key...Thanks
