"Continual Break Downs"
We have a g40uh gas furnace installed in late 2005. I have just made my 4th service call due to a wire coming loose causing the fan to not start. While seemingly simple due to the cheap parts in this model, it will not stay fixed and short of spending thousands for a new unit Lennox has no solution. I was happy to see a Lennox unit but now am wondering if the former quality of the brand is long gone.

"Heat Exhanger Cracked"
This unit was put into a new home just 3 yrs ago. I had a furnace company come out and check the furnace, he found the unit has cracked. He turned my furnace off in case there was co2 leaking. The furnace people are looking for a replacement part. As of yet, they are unable to locate one. They are waiting to hear from the company that makes these. I looked for the model number with no luck finding it.

"What a joke"
Bought this furnace and air conditioner at Warren Heat and Air in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They told me that they could not charge the new air conditioner because of cold weather as it was cold weather when we had them install the units. They will not return the calls. I have tried about 8 times.

"Lennox Gv61"
Replaced a perfectly good 25 year old furnace for this "high efficient" model. Has cost more in service calls than I probably will save in gas bills for the rest of my life! After barely a year, furnace kept cutting out (-40 outside) service man replaced flame sensor, had the furnace fully serviced last June and now is cutting out when goes to high output setting, LED's show no problem, another call. Replaced another furnace on rental, at same time has also needed at least 3 service calls and annual tuneup!

"LENNOX FURNACE"
In 1989, we purchased a Lennox pulse furnace. Due to a recall in 1998 for a faulty heat exchanger, they replaced the furnace with a new one. This March, we had to replace an inducer motor because the bearings were bad. That cost us over $500. We just replaced our air conditioner and found out now our heat exchanger in our Lennox furnace needs replacing. Even though this exchanger has a lifetime warranty and the parts are free, I had an estimate just for labor was almost a $1000. How can they make such a faulty part! We are talking about possible carbon monoxide here. I will never own another Lennox furnace. Two thumbs down!!!!

"G32Q Problem Child"
Lasted for most of four years when the combustion air fan died to the tune of $300. Then it just stopped all together one day, indicating a flame rollout had occurred. The vents were clear, clean and properly installed. The fresh air intake fitting was melted, and if melted through, would have killed us with co. Luckily I had a good co detector! In my opinion, a very poorly designed system. Most other brands will shut down immediately on a flame rollout, a required safety measure. This piece of crap was melting the vent way before it indicated any problems.

"Lennox furnace"
I have a 3 year g40uh (X)series Lennox gas furnace that does not blow heat. The technician charged $124 to fix the combustion air inducer. He said that the motor for this model has been painted on the inside and the paint become flaky with heat and ultimately will clog the motor. The replacement motor has also been painted and his recommendation is to buy a new American Standard Ace model gas 80% furnace. Does anyone know if this interior paint problem of the motors is real?

"G23 nothing but problems from day one"
I have hated this furnace since day one. Many problems including replacing a $200+ control/spark box. Waking up to a cold house numerous times in the am, reset power, and would work again for a day, a week or a month then fail again. Now, my heat exchanger has failed, and yes it's under warranty for 20 years, BUT FOR PARTS ONLY. Cheapest contractor wants $400-$600 dollars to replace. So heads up heat exchanger warranties don't mean anything!!!! Most are parts only!!! Check your paperwork. Also keep in mind if you want to fix your own furnace, Lennox will not sell you the part direct, you must have one of their techs do the work. This stinks if you are handy, and want to save some money doing the work yourself! Stay away from Lennox!

"Worst piece of crap furnace!!!"
This early model hm30 is nothing but trouble. I have been in this house since 2002, and every year I have to spend about $500 to repair and replace parts for this obviously poorly designed piece of crap. I will never own a Lennox product even if the newer furnaces don't have the problems the hm30 has. I have never been so thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with any product as I have with this furnace/hot water heater system. Even the Lennox serviceman said "get rid of it!"

"Dan Monacelli"
When I built my home in 2003, the cost of natural gas was skyrocketing. I thought I'd save some heating cost by installing a Lennox 90ufg a3 75-6 high efficiency furnace that the builder recommended. The cost to upgrade at the time was an additional $1200. Big mistake. In 2008, I spent $512.86 on a new inducer motor because the bearings were bad. This morning the service tech said the ignitor and its circuit board had to be replaced at an estimated $555. I politely asked the tech to leave and called a reputable HVAC contractor to replace the furnace. Do the math. Almost $1100 in repairs on a furnace that was built in 2002. No thanks, Lennox. I wouldn't recommed Lennox to anyone. The old 85% efficient Bryant furnace I had for over 25 years never had a repair bill like this. Someone at Lennox better rethink their approach to the market. The future looks grim for them in my eyes.
