"Been a good furnace"
I have had no problems until now after 10 years. The combustion blower motor went out. A reasonably priced replacement can be easily found many places on the Internet. My first concern was a circuit board failure when the furnace was installed because I kept hearing of other peoples furnaces failing from dead circuit boards. Not this one. A tip a Lennox dealer said was to blow out the small tube from behind the top access door. Pull off the tube from the left rubber piece and blow into the tube. a 't' fitting can plug and cause water to get in the fan area causing failure. I suggest pouring a lean bleach mixture into the tube and flushing it if repeated problems occur.

"Noisy!!"
Bought 2 identical units (my home and rental home) based on the Lennox name. Ha! So much for name recognition anymore! The most annoying thing about BOTH units...is the "super special efficiency motor thing"..whatever it is. It vibrates the entire furnace!!! Both units!! It sounds like a bulldozer has started up in my basement when it comes on. I've tried tightening the bolts on the motor, but it didn't help any. I had to actually TAKE THE MOTOR OFF and place dampening rubber spacers under the screws...it helped a TINY bit..but still......having to tinker and rig up a NEW furnace is uncalled for. No more Lennox for me. A friend of mine's furnace just went out. I told them NOT to buy Lennox due to my experience. See what sending your work to CHINA/MEXICO does to your company name?!

"scary hunk of scrap g61"
Well I had this installed 4 years ago and from day 1 it never fired all the time. I spent many a cold night down in the basement re-setting the thing over and over trying to get it to light. I have had 7 service calls 5 from the installer and still the furnace will only run with the small combustion box cover off. So I am very worried all the time it's running. I have decided to give climate air until xmas then it's lawyer time. It's also a story you would like to hear on the radio a simcoe county foster home with a furnace like that. Why didn't someone do something? Stay tuned.

"A lemon from day 1"
The worst you can buy. The motherboard failed the second year and many a year after that. The Head Office did not respond to ANY complaint. Not even acknowledge. TOTAL GARBAGE!

"Still working"
We have a 20 year old Lennox that still works fine. The only problem is that it is not a late high efficiency model. We used to have a Carrier in our old house by the time it was 5 years old, we had to have it fixed every other year.

"Review of my furnace"
I've owned this furnace since buying the house which was 6 years ago, I have never had a specific preference for furnaces nor had I even bothered to care for one until being a home owner. I like that it has been very low maintenance and so far has only required filter changes; it also consumes very little gas, keeps the house warm, the unit itself does not get hot on any exposed panels. The unit is very quiet and produces no noticeable noise. The only outside service that I have had done through a local heating and cooling company is a yearly inspection and cleaning of the entire unit, a temperature and pressure test, have the technician check the electrical system and to make sure the gas connections were safe, all of which was less than $100. I would buy the same brand again and recommend it to my friends for sure, unless it destroyed my house, hurt someone or caused a fire.

"Not reliable"
Cheap Chinese and Mexican parts continue to fail. Have had to replace several parts on ac & furnace due to failure. Lennox use to be top of the line, but I will never buy another one.

"My lennox SLP98V furnace"
I've owned my furnace for about six months. It's reliable, quiet, and works well for the most part. It gets pretty cold where I live so having a reliable furnace is important to myself and my other roommates. It's quite efficient and my heating bill last month was as low as it's ever been. It was reduces approximately 10% compared to our older furnace that was replaced last winter. Now that summer is here, our cooling costs have also gone down by the same 10%. It had to undergo one repair because it was not installed correctly, but this was taken care of by the people who installed it within the same week. It sometimes runs a little loudly as well, especially at night when the house is quiet. I would buy this brand again because of its great energy efficiency and overall quality, despite the few issues we had with it.

Review:
"Lennox High Efficiency Furnace Lives up to its Reputation"
I've had this Lennox G51 single stage high efficiency furnace (92%) for four years. It replaced a furnace that was installed in about 1970, which was probably no better than 65% efficient. Obviously I am extremely pleased with the savings in fuel (both cost wise and environmentally). It is quiet and moves air well, keeping the house evenly warm in winter without the drafts caused by the previous furnace (which did not regulate its temperature well, in that it kept blowing air that was not heated, and took a long time to come on as the temperature dropped). This Lennox furnace, however, seems to respond in a very sensitive way to the changing temperatures in winter and comes on when needed and turns off before cold air starts blowing. I have never had any problems with the furnace at all except the second time I turned it on after installation. The installers returned and found a mistake in their own electrical wiring, but nothing wrong with the furnace itself. I would definitely recommend this furnace to others looking to upgrade to a product that is more efficient. It has definitely been a good value.

" RE: Winnipeg Supply/ Furnace Experts over charge"
My previous complaint was not about Lennox furnaces per se, but rather about how service companies know they have you at their mercy when the temperature outside is cold and your furnace packs it in. Their should be a web site to rate service companies!
