"Amazingly trouble-free"
I've had a Pulse GSR14-80 for 21 years. It's been incredibly reliable and is highly efficient. I do my own routine maintenance (cleaning, oiling blower motor and purge fan motor, replacing air intake flapper valve) and have never needed a service call. The only actual failure I experienced was when a crack developed in the ball float of the condensate trap a couple years ago, allowing it to fill with water. But I was able to glue it back together, and it's been fine ever since. From what I've read here, Lennox quality has declined in recent years. But the old Pulse units were built like tanks (they weighed almost as much as one) and can be largely trouble-free if properly maintained. Unfortunately, the Pulse line has been discontinued.

"Awesome performance!"
I had a Lennox g61 Elite Series installed in my 2000 sq ft Duplex to replace two 1950s gm Delco Furnaces. This is a two stage 95% efficient unit. On first (low) stage it is so quiet that my tenants asked why could they never hear the furnace run? It is a properly sized furnace for the square footage, and properly sized duct work. Combine this with professional installers who knew exactly what they were doing and you have an awesome system. On low stage you have to put your hand near a heat register to confirm heat, it is that quiet. Thats the variable speed blower motor at work. On second (high) stage the airflow is turbo even on the 2nd story registers. Airflow is strong, but surprisingly quiet; can barely be heard. The tenant on the first floor says that in high stage he "thinks" he can hear the furnace below his kitchen. He is correct that is where it is. I will update this in January with a dead of winter report.

"50 years workin good"
Owned a Lennox in home for 50 years. It's a late 50s to early 60s furnace. Only replaced a mechanical part that went out to a digital unit. Bad efficiencies but runs like a top.

"Lennox Furnace"
I have 3 systems in my home. When I added them to my house, I put in Goodman products for the addition and nothing but problems! On my older part of my house, I have a 93% variable furnace by Lennox, put in about 9 years ago and I have never had a problem. I am going to switch back to Lennox.

"YOU GUYS ARE ALL FUNNY"
Being in the industry, I find it amusing reading all these, blaming the manufacturer. The people you all should be looking at especially those of you with leaks is the installers. Leaks are caused by bad welds and the line sets don't come factory welded. They are done at install. Then, there are the ones who say their units are freezing up, which is probably because the units are oversized which again goes back to the installer not the manufacturer.

"Lennox furnace & A/C are working great!"
I had the Lennox g61v furnace and the xc14 Air Conditioner installed in my 2300 sq. ft. house about 3 months ago by Humble Heating & Air Conditioning in Hanover Park, IL. So far, both the furnace & the A/C are working great & I have absolutely no complaints. Everything was installed professionally and they did it in a day. I highly recommend Lennox and Humble Heating and A/C.

"Oldie, but a Goodie"
Installed in 1992, Whisper Heat Model. Had the blower motor replaced about 4 years ago. That I believe was caused by a mouse! But it's still running strong.

"Reliable"
We bought our home when it was 3 years old. It had a Lennox Pulse Furnace (Propane). We are replacing it now with a new 95% eff. Lennox not because of any problems but because it is almost 20 years old and we are getting ready to retire. Also we can use the tax credit. We found our Lennox to be extremely reliable so we are sticking with another Lennox furnace, as well as air conditioner.

"lennox furnace"
My mom has had a Lennox furnace for 30 years and has had very few problems with it. It is going to be replaced this year, not because of failure, but to take advantage of tax credits. I have had 2 furnaces in my home for 20 years and have also had very little problems. I wouldn't have any other furnace except Lennox.

We are an HVAC company. We try a lot of brands, like Goodman, Carrier, Bryant, Luxaire and Trane. You have to have a good installation company to install any of the products. Also, you need a manufacture who will stand behind their products. We try a lot of products and we found Lennox is the only one that give us the best service when we have a problem we can't fix. We call some of them and they never call us back and we look bad for our company. We talk to the Lennox service tech and he came out and fixed the problem for us. Also, I have a problem with one of the outdoor unit. We called our saleman and told him about it. He has no problem. He gave my customer a new outdoor unit. We replaced it for no cost to my customer. All manufacturers are going to have some problem with some of their units. Just make sure they will stand by their product. Lennox has a good housekeeping seal that nobody else has. If the company you are using can't do that, you have to find a company that will stand behind what they sell.
