"Two-stage blower motor unbearably noisy"
Thank goodness our installer, R.G. Wahl in Saline Mich replaced this furnace under warranty. Ironically, the two-stage blower motor is supposed to be quieter than the single stage in the g51 model, but that just was not true for us. The blower motor kept our household up at night. It would whine like a jet plane taking off, then after awhile whine back down to a lower level, then it would either turn off (thankfully), or whine back up. We never knew what it was going to do next... whine up, or turn off, and it just kept us on edge when we were trying to sleep. We are so thankful that our installer replaced it with a different model under warranty, at no charge. Whew!!!!

"Circuit Boards are Junk"
We had a Lennox system installed 9 years ago. They have a major design problem with their circuit boards! Moisture leaks on them causing them to short out. After 4 boards lighting finally hit out system and killed it! Thank God! Stay away from lennox! We are upgrading to american standard!

"Basically no fan option"
We have owned this model, sold to us by Integrity, for three years. When you just want to circulate air throughout the house, the only option is a very low fan speed. Holding a feathered cat toy at the ceiling vent you will see no movement. Although Integrity has responded to my complaints by checking the unit to make sure it is working, their suggestion for a solution is to blow more insulation into the attic and just run the ac or Heat more often. How is this an improvement in energy usage?

"Lennox is junk and the dealer Astar charges for everything."
I paid over $20k for this unit and installation. in the two years i've had it, I have spent $600. in repair and today is it down again. two days with no heat. the first time Astar came in to repair it, the tech broke two light bulbs and said nothing. they left me w/o heat for over a week. they keep pushing for service (what a joke). Astar charges (too much in my opinion)for every repair and evaluation at the rate of $100. per evaluation. they repaired the lennox furnace a month ago and it isn't working again. they're due here this am to once again repair this 20k piece of junk. It's the g71.

"Lennox Pulse is evil"
My neighbors have a Lennox Pulse unit that gets sends a deep tone into our house vibrating our walls. It has been louder with age and is deemed 'normal' by lennox. What a horrible product that has disrupted my life.

"Pulse 21"
I am irate with Lennox. I have a Lennox Pulse 21. I am the first owner. It was installed in my newly build house in 1997. It has not even been used for 14 winters yet. I have had to have multiple repairs to it in the 14 years. They have never been covered by warranty. Some were before 10 years. It has always been very noisy. It is now failing again. I have been informed, after a costly pressure test on the heat exchanger, that the heat exchanger has failed. The Lennox dealer condemned the furnace. The heat exchanger has a lifetime warranty for the original owner or a 20 year warranty if the house is sold. I qualify either way. Unfortunately, they cannot fix it because parts are no longer available for my furnace. Even if it was another problem (like the controller), it could not be repaired do to a lack of parts. It is my understanding that this lack of parts has been true for a few years. So much for supporting their products for at least 20 years! They offer a four figure price on a new furnace as a replacement to ‘honor’ their warrant. The prices from the Lennox dealer on furnace replacements are more than the quotes for an American Standard, York, and Amana replacements. Lennox is offering some cash back but only on their basic model that is the equivalent of what I have. Most of the cash back is wiped out by the cost of the test necessary to qualify for the rebate. It makes me laugh when one of the selling points on the new Lennox is their industry leading warranty.

"Garbage"
I have had to fix it every year since I had it. Turns out the dealer was very unreputable and went out of business soon after installation. I have done all repairs myself and every year I repair something new on it. I would never buy another lennox product ever!

"Loud motor affects the air condition unit"
We purchased Dave lennox sl280v furnace six weeks ago to go with the Lennox 13acx air condition that we bought last summer. We did not know that the blower motor -which is part of the new furnace -will be the blower motor for my air condition as well. Our new ac used to be very quiet until the furnace got installed. Now my ac is incredibly loud because it is utilizing the furnace motor to blow the air. It is a nightmare! The ac is so very loud, with a straining surging noise, but the furnace is running quietly. When we installed the ac last year it was very quiet because it was using the blower motor of my old furnace. We bought new Lennox products because we were pleased with our previous old furnace and ac The new Lennox models are not quiet as the ones we had before for 16 years . We still do not know how we are going to deal with this problem.

"scary hunk of scrap g61"
Well I had this installed 4 years ago and from day 1 it never fired all the time. I spent many a cold night down in the basement re-setting the thing over and over trying to get it to light. I have had 7 service calls 5 from the installer and still the furnace will only run with the small combustion box cover off. So I am very worried all the time it's running. I have decided to give climate air until xmas then it's lawyer time. It's also a story you would like to hear on the radio a simcoe county foster home with a furnace like that. Why didn't someone do something? Stay tuned.
