"Lennox G26 Gas Furnace installed 1997"
We had a very bad experience with this furnace, with issues that seem to resonate with a lot of other Lennox owners of this particular line. We have had the Blower motor replaced, exuhst motor replaced, electronic control module replaced, several service calls by reputable contractors (more then one). It stopped working again a few days ago, So we are giving up on it and are getting a replacement. I am not sure if newer Lennox units are more reliable, but I am not planning on taking another chance on a Lennox. Righ now I am considering Trane, Goodman and Carrier all of which seem to have their strengths.

"Disappointed"
Bought our home 4 years old, as a single mother, in my eyes since the furnace worked, great. Unaware to the forthcoming problems, found out this unit is a Lennox Pulse. Had I known then, I would've offered 10 grand less on the purchase price of my home. I have had nothing but problems with this unit. Works great at 0 - minus 10, but any colder than that, it doesn't come on. Now married, either my husband or I are getting up several times during the night to 'hopefully' reset the dam thing. Also have found out that Lennox had a huge law suit on this brand, which apparently has been settled. We have sunk about 1500.00 into this useless piece of metal, and are glad to say (4 winters later), we are finally in a position to get rid of it, and are purchasing a carrier. Had we known how much money & grief this Lennox Lemon would have caused us, we would've opted out and purchased a different brand of furnace earlier. do not buy a LENNOX....unless, you want to play russian roulette with your Canadian Winters and hope your furnace will kick on.

"Lennox G51 Gas Furnace"
I purchased a new furnace and heat pump/air conditioner in the summer of 2006. I've been very satisfied with both units and they seem to work flawlessly together to keep my house warm. My gas usage in the winter months has dropped by 61%. My old furnace was 18 years old. My electric usage has increased but due to the special heating rate offered by my electric utility and the efficiency of the heat pump, the combined cost to heat my home has dropped in real dollars and even more considering that the price we pay for natural gas has risen 41% between 2006 and 2008.

"lennox G61V"
Well I finally replaced my Pulse 21 furnace with a Lennox g61v and could not be happier. This furnace makes our home way more comfortable and is very quiet. No more cold spots. Two Stage ecm is definitely the way to go. I was thinking about going with the Lennox g71p but was advised against it because it was a newer model furnace. The g61v has been out for some time and is reliable based on the reports I have read. I considered the Trane xv95 as well but opted for the g61v after hearing how quiet it was.

"What model do you have"
Re: Name: Alf Location: Okotoks Years owned: 10 Review: Replacing the board 3 times in 10 years is unacceptable My question is, what model # is this? You can't just make such a general statement with no particulars.

"Pulse"
Both the Pulse furnace and A/C are 24 years old. The A/C has never had a repair, only bi-annual checks and cleaning. Heat exchanger on the furnace was replaced at no charge 10 years ago. Factory service is performed bi-annually and usually only a new spark plug is needed. I do maintain co2 detectors by furnace and in hall by bedrooms. Very satisfied with unit and with service personnel. I agree with everyone that trained and qualified service personnel make a huge difference.

"So far...Great!"
We installed a new g61mpv36c-090 this year and so far it has been fabulous. Compared with the old furnace it's extremely quiet and uses half of the fuel. We really like the new thermostat as well which is much easier to program than the old one.
