"HM30 Pice of crap!"
I will never, ever purchase another Lennox product, even if the new ones are better than the very poorly thought out hm30 Complete Heat I have in my house. I bought the house in fall of 2002. The hm30 had been installed in June 95. EVERY single year I have had a failure of $500 or more with this peice of crap. Now today, I have yet another $477 bill for a simple flow pump on the heat coil, that jammed because the plastic impeller broke apart. The impeller cannot be replaced, only the entire pump. What should be a $10 impeller is permanently attached to the $375+ pump. I have had a water tank failure, another flow pump failure, copper corrosion problems, a relay failed on the control board (which of course means a WHOLE new control board, there is corrosion on every steel, metal, aluminum and die cast part in the burner area of the water tank. Yet with every failure, the local Lennox shop has the part in stock! Even the stainless steel water tank! If you have a Lennox HM30 in your house, GET RID OF IT as soon as you can. Even one of the Lennox repairmen said if it was his house, he'd get rid of it! I have a form from Lennox to file a complaint.

"Lennox High Efficiency Furnace"
High efficiency furnaces in older houses are a big mistake!! My house is now full of moisture, thick ice on all the windows in winter, and mold is forming on the walls. Furnace does not take any moisture out of the house, it adds moisture in. I have heard dozens of horror stories from others too. If you want to install a High Efficiency furnace, first replace all your windows and doors, seal up all cracks, reinsulate ceiling and walls and then install an air exchanger and a dehumidifier. Then install the new high efficiency furnace. Wish I had known that before.

"What to do with Canadian Govt Grant"
I have a 3600 square foot home, I have a Lennox unit that is not giving me any problems, however I have installed a $30.00 part available at home depot for igniting the gas, I installed it myself about 7 years ago and everything works correctly. We have just signed up for the Retro Grant that gives you money back for home improvements such as windows etc... I was thinking to go to an upgraded furnace and ac unit as our bills are high and will get approx $3000.00 back from govt for having an afue of 95% +

"Lou Simmons"
Purchased a complete System, Heat Pump/Air and a propane high efficiency g26q3-75-5 furnace. I have a four zone system. Heat exchanger failed this past winter. Serviceman switched power off to furnace in mid Jan. Lennox dealer ordered replacement but wanted $510.00 for labor. Lennox warranty states free replacement for the heat exchanger but will not supply heat exchanger to home owner nor will the Lennox dealer who has my heat exchanger supply it to another licensed installer. Lennox is protecting the Lennox dealers. Never buy Lennox again. Wish I new of a unit that would be a direct replacement and get rid of the Lennox junk.

"My Worst Nightmare"
This Lennox hm30 Complete Heat system has cost me over $6,498 in repairs over the past 9 years and now it is irrepairable. I have replaced a thermistor, a pump, a valve, a thermostat, combustion blowers x2, a gas valve, an electrode, a control board, a regulator, a combustion air orifice, and a tank. It broke down while we were gone and the pipes froze and cracked costing me another $1000 in repairs. Now Lennox offers me just $1800 toward the replacement system which costs $3000. How pitiful! We have gone without heat and hot water for many days and paid for the equivalent of a new system. This is unbelievable!

"Lennox Furnace"
We purchased the Lennox complete Heat about 10 years ago. While it worked fine, Lennox offered to replace it suggesting that it would go bad soon. We took them up on their offer and installed a traditional Lennox high efficiency furnace. Since that time we have a problem every year. The ignition switch, the safety switch, controller panel, ... Now the aluminum boiler has cracked. Lucky I noticed it only a few hours after it happened since water was spraying everywhere (including all over the electronics). Lennox said the boiler is warrantied but not the electronics (which were ruined by spraying water from the cracked aluminum boiler) or the installation costs of the new boiler. It turns out it will be cheaper to put in a brand new furnace than fixing the old one. My installer recommends not touching the Lennox as he knows that they are trouble.

"Lennox g43"
I just bought a g43 merit. 8hr removal/installation and is very quiet. No problems and no reviews of this model. I am looking forward to saving some money with this unit (90-92% efficiency) but I am a little concerned about negative feed-back of other units. I found this sight after purchase. Replaced Ruud because of 2 cracks in heat exchanger (25 y/old). I will keep up with maintainance schedule and keep you posted.

"1997 Pulse G21"
Unit was new when I bought house. g21 Pulse Furnace. Flawless until two weeks ago. Replaced flapper when installing a/c back in 2001 just as a precaution. Unit stopped heating a couple weeks back. By shutting off/on power would force it to try to refire. Sometimes would run for a few minutes, other times wouldn't even get to pulse stage. Replaced flapper again. Ran for a week. This time trying the control box. Service tech tried for a long time (on free repeat labor to boot) to find something else wrong with it because the box is so expensive and obsolete. Tested heat exchanger for leaks. Everything checks solid. Outside of the vibration typical of pulses, couldn't be happier. Just a shame that an obsolete control box may force me to prematurely retired this furance if it fails again in a few years. The rest of the furance runs well.

"Lennox...Never again"
Had a g61 mpv furnace and a xp15 Heat pump installed in June of '07. Have had at least 12 service calls on a variety of problems. I had to have a circuit board replace 2 years in a row. It took 20 months and a Regional Tech to find out why my "Heat Pump" wasn't heating. Was told by the salesman that replacing the filter "now was a thing of the past". After 20 months this new electronic air filter needs replaced as a cost of $235...what a mistake!!!!!!!!
