"G61MPV-090"
I had two furnaces installed 4 months appart at differnet addresses, within a week of each other the inducer motors failed, a $235 labor charge for each. Ask me if I am impressed! Lennox will cover the cost of the motor, but not the labour. 30 minutes on hold to talk to Lennox and complain only to be told too bad, so sad. The furnace as a whole works and is quiet, but The Lennox company needs to take some lessons re customer service. One motor I can accept, but two within a week of each other, Lennox has a problem, I will lay odds that they are aware of the problem and not doing anything about it. I hope Lennox reads this site as they do not even have an e-mail contact address!

"Noisy Motor on 95% Efficiency Lennox Furnace"
Seems like the new (installed March 2010) 95% efficiency Lennox furnace has a very noisy motor because each vent in the house registers about the same level of loud noise. The motor noise travels through the ductwork. The furnace sounds like a high-pitched vacuum cleaner.

"Lennox G50 Furnace"
I purchased the Lennox g50 because I was told it was the highest Lennox unit to purchase. However, after only 2 years my blower wheel and blower motor holder have fallen apart and I am being told that it will cost me $575 to fix this. I am supposed to feel better because the parts are under warranty but how can that really make that big of a difference when I have to pay $575 in labor to fix parts that barely lasted 24 months. I contacted Lennox Consumer Complaint Department to express my concern and they provided no assistance at all, other to tell me that I could file an official written complaint to their Corporate office. I am extremly disappointed in the product and would in no way recommend this product to anyone looking to replace their furnace.

Great until it needs repair. An ignitor that will likely need to be replaced is $185 and the circuit board is $350. I have two Lennox units. That's two $185 ignitors and two $347 circuit boards. The unit isn't even 9 years old. Do the math!

Review:
"Lennox High Efficiency Furnace"
High efficiency furnaces in older houses are a big mistake!! My house is now full of moisture, thick ice on all the windows in winter, and mold is forming on the walls. Furnace does not take any moisture out of the house, it adds moisture in. I have heard dozens of horror stories from others too. If you want to install a High Efficiency furnace, first replace all your windows and doors, seal up all cracks, reinsulate ceiling and walls and then install an air exchanger and a dehumidifier. Then install the new high efficiency furnace. Wish I had known that before.

"New furnace and duc work"
The crew did excellent work but like most contractors a two day job turned into a three week project. I got service on days they couldn't go out of town because of the weather (Snow). I've had people praise the duc work but the furnace makes such a loud noise through the duc work. In the basement you can hardly hear it run but upstairs it's a different story. a loud steady noise like the fan hitting something. It's not like air passing through it's a very loud humming noise that drives you crazy when your trying to sleep. April they will be putting in the Central air.

Review:
I owned a Lennox furnace that was 50 yrs old.Last Sept I had a g50 installed. My big complaint is when the furnace kicks in there is a kind of grinding whizzing sound that's loud enough to wake me and my wife up sometimes. The dealer installed a second furnace and it makes the same noise. Is that normal,if it's not, what do you think could be making that awful noise.
