"Not real happy"
This furnace was installed in August 2003. I change the filters regularly and blow out the air lines every couple months. No matter what I do, this furnace has to be serviced every year. And usually on a Holiday or weekend. The company that installed it said we must have the furnace and a/c "tuned up" once a year or it voids our warranty. Called Lennox this morning and they said the same thing. But nowhere in our paperwork does it say we have to have it serviced once a year for the warranty. This is total bs. We dropped about $12k between the 2. Now we are supposed to spend another $160 a year for "tune ups"? I would not buy another Lennox for sure.

"I have a Lennox buzzer furnace"
I have had a Lennox furnace a number of years. From the start it has buzzed like an alarm clock all the while it ran. It works to use fine sand paper on the ignitor maybe lasting a week or less than a day. Lennox repairman says it is from washing clothes in the basement. Who doesn't? Lennox is junk and the repairmen even worse. They are high cost-- not high efficiency.

"1.5 year old, Pressure switches failed, cost $400, Lennox refused to help"
1.5 yr old, pressure switches failed, called Lennox, no backing of the failed product whatsoever, read the fine print, fixing cost over $350+half day off work - very very disappointed.

"We would never buy another Lennox"
We have had a lot of problems with our furnace & with repair service. Heat exchanger had to be replaced last May and now the furnace is very noisy. Service tech unable/unwilling to take time to research the problem. Then last week the heater stopped working again on a Friday afternoon (week before Christmas). Technician says control panel burned out. Tech says Lennox & service company closed Monday and Tuesday so ordered panel on Wednesday. Part still not in (it's now Friday, a week later). Service company again closed Monday and Tuesday, so part may be installed next Wednesday, almost two weeks after initial call for repair.

"Save yourself the headache, avoid Lennox"
We have 2 Lennox g26q3 furnaces at in our local Historical Society Museum, plus three more Lennox furnaces in an other building. To put it short - they are junk; poorly designed and built with cheap components. The two g26q3 furnaces both fail 2-3 times a year, typically on a holiday. (I've become really good at repairing them). The two newer Lennox furnaces, (different models) at the other facility typically fail once a year. The only one that rarely has an issue is the 25 year-old "inefficient" furnace. The whole "high efficiency" design is a joke, because you will spend more on parts and service than you will save on your gas bill!

"Lennox G71P failed third time in four years"
Same or similar issue each time. Pressure switch fails. Ironic thing is that we replaced our nearly 20 year old Heil because we feared it would fail during the winter. So, for a 4 year old furnace to fail three times: totally unacceptable. I spent a lot of money and hopefully the hvac company will replace it for free. I'm probably dreaming but isn't it their responsibility to fight with Lennox to get their money back? I have spent enough days/ nights sitting here freezing. I will not ever buy a Lennox again.

"Junk"
Furnace installed fall of 2005. Burner has had 3 primaries and 2 pumps to date. Was inspected today 7 years later to find a burned out heat exchanger. Yeah there is some warranty but forget it. I don't want another 1 of these systems. I know they don't make them like they used to but 7 years is crazy!

"Need standards on these reviews!"
I'm looking to purchase a Lennox (furnace & A/C) but reading this is a mess. The type of furnace, company that installed it, and where you live is important! All this info should be on every review, period. As for the type/model I'm confused I'm looking at Elite series el296v -does this equal 60v -60mvp reviews here? It sounds like your at the mercy of the installers hopeful-ly they are trained, and do everything right. This is a major purchase I don't want to get burned.
