"Worst piece of crap furnace!!!"
This early model hm30 is nothing but trouble. I have been in this house since 2002, and every year I have to spend about $500 to repair and replace parts for this obviously poorly designed piece of crap. I will never own a Lennox product even if the newer furnaces don't have the problems the hm30 has. I have never been so thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with any product as I have with this furnace/hot water heater system. Even the Lennox serviceman said "get rid of it!"

"HM30 Pice of crap!"
I will never, ever purchase another Lennox product, even if the new ones are better than the very poorly thought out hm30 Complete Heat I have in my house. I bought the house in fall of 2002. The hm30 had been installed in June 95. EVERY single year I have had a failure of $500 or more with this peice of crap. Now today, I have yet another $477 bill for a simple flow pump on the heat coil, that jammed because the plastic impeller broke apart. The impeller cannot be replaced, only the entire pump. What should be a $10 impeller is permanently attached to the $375+ pump. I have had a water tank failure, another flow pump failure, copper corrosion problems, a relay failed on the control board (which of course means a WHOLE new control board, there is corrosion on every steel, metal, aluminum and die cast part in the burner area of the water tank. Yet with every failure, the local Lennox shop has the part in stock! Even the stainless steel water tank! If you have a Lennox HM30 in your house, GET RID OF IT as soon as you can. Even one of the Lennox repairmen said if it was his house, he'd get rid of it! I have a form from Lennox to file a complaint.

"My Worst Nightmare"
This Lennox hm30 Complete Heat system has cost me over $6,498 in repairs over the past 9 years and now it is irrepairable. I have replaced a thermistor, a pump, a valve, a thermostat, combustion blowers x2, a gas valve, an electrode, a control board, a regulator, a combustion air orifice, and a tank. It broke down while we were gone and the pipes froze and cracked costing me another $1000 in repairs. Now Lennox offers me just $1800 toward the replacement system which costs $3000. How pitiful! We have gone without heat and hot water for many days and paid for the equivalent of a new system. This is unbelievable!
