"Premature part failure"
I had a new Lennox (G60 series) installed 18 months ago and have just had to have a flame sensor replaced. What happened to furnaces that you replaced and the only thing you had to do was change the filter every 3 months or so? Of course, when you call out a service technician he has to give you the whole "tune-up" treatment costing over $150. Why does a modern piece of equipment with no moving parts require a tune-up?

"Lennox Failure"
I have a 4 yr old g60 Lennox. !0 months ago the flame sensor failed and I had to pay a service call to get it replaced. I now have this same problem. I am now being told it fails because I have my laundry machines in the same basement area.I Live in mn and sometimes go south for a while. If furnace fails when I am gone, I have a real problem. I don't think a 4 year old furnace should be having problems. I had 19 yr old Rheem that I replaced. Never a problem with that furnace.

"PROBLEMS"
I had a Lennox g60 installed on 2/14/2010. It took 4 hours to raise the tempature 2 degrees. The fan starts and there is a bang sound on each phase. The fan sounds like a small jet engine and has a very high velocity. We have had 4 service calls to correct the problems. The last time the serviceman said we would have to adapt to the sound and the bang and told me I needed a new air conditioner and he could install it today 5/26/2010. I was in out of town in Springfield and asked him why would I buy a Lennox air conditioner when the furnace is not functioning and it wakes me up at 2am in the morning.
Other G60 Reviews
A user at hvac-talk.com commented that the G60 uses about 70% less electricity to operate the blower. Another user on the HVAC forum opened up a discussion on the advantages of the Lennox G60 vs. another furnace. He decided to proceed with the Lennox as the comments on this unit were more favourable.
