Review:
"benefits of Hot Water heat."
My furnace is 76 years old. it is a commercial grade hot water furnace that features an integrated hot water holding tank. It was originally burned coal, then was converted to heating oil. presently it is natural gas. By today's standards it it not effiecient, but it is reliable, clean, quiet and safe. I have only had to lubricate the burner damper in the last 6 years, that's it. Kewanee boilers were built in Kewanee Illinois, the company is no longer in business. If I had to recommend a replacement hot water boiler furnace it woul be American standard first then Heil. Trane does not sell Boilers. I would not recommend the really high efficiency furnaces as the core is aluminum, which fail in a few years. The only thing I dislke about my furnace is it is not efficient.
