We are very lucky to be alive today as our furnace severely malfunctioned 2 seperate times both of which resulted in melted parts. our whole house could have burned down this last time which was last winter our own heating co said you were the cheapest co out there and your workmanship was lousy!!!! You paople are asses thanks for nothing and putting our family in danger too bad you really don't stand behind your product. Now we are the happy owners of a carrier furnace

Replaced in 2003, dead in 2009. Have had several problems in the last 2 years and now compressor is bad. It is sad when the consumer is the one that has to suffer for the junk that these companies are producing. no wonder the economy is the way it is!

Had a Janitrol furnace and air conditioning unit installed in 1995 and it has been trouble free. We live in the mountains at about 2000 ft. in elevation. Lots of winter days below freezing. Some below zero! Our Janitrol furnace gets a work out. It's always up to the task. Summers here bring average daily temperatures in the mid to high 70's with periods of 80*+ humid weather. The air conditioner has never failed to keep tour house comfortable even on the hottest of those days. I'm very happy with the performance and dependability of our Janitrol heating/cooling unit.

Furnace has been perfect with the exception of a control board that I damaged by having a water leak on the floor getting sucked into the blower section spraying the control card. $50 on e-bay. will buy another. 92+ condensing furnace if this one ever wears out.

The furnace has been a constant problem. We have had to replace the mother board, all the flame out sensors the blower motor and now the heat exchanger has cracked and rendered the furnace inoperable. We will be replacing the furnace with anything but a Janitrol/Goodman.

My first janitrol was installed in 1990. It was terrible. It constantly had trouble igniting. My furnace technician was out at least 3 times a season to fix it. After the 5 year warranty was up, I demanded a new furnace. I got one at no charge and was thankful. However, the new one had the same problems! At my wits end, I hired a new furnace guy who was honest and found that the burners were defective and it was a consistent problem with the janitrol. He fought for me and with the company (they weren't initially cooperative and leave a lot to be desired in their customer service) and eventually it was fixed properly. That was 7 years ago and it's worked fine since but I will never have another Janitrol installed in my home again.

Junk, Junk, junk! I contacted the company (Goodman) and they never bothered to even respond. I have had to have this furnace repaired every winter and 4 times this winter. Most every time it was the ignitor but that was not all or every time. I had the "Dependable 92" installed new about 7 years ago and it is the worst mistake of my replacement purchases ever. I just had it fixed again today because I awakened to a 54 degree morning in the house. The technician loaned another ignitor to me until he could install a new Lennox for me later this week. I could have paid for the Lennox in what I have paid in repairs for this worthless piece of junk.

I too am very upset with this piece of junk. My contractor has had to come out to many times and just to be exact- he is coming out Tuesday for the 3rd time in just 3 weeks- He keeps telling me that I have a lent or chemical problem and that we need to find out why. I think there is no worse feeling than knowing it is 30 degrees or colder and not knowing whether you will have heat or not. I am so frustrated. My contractor comes out everytime and tries to fix it, but I have to pay labor every single time. I can't take it anymore. I will be calling the company.

owned my unit for 7 years before I lost my compressor. the warranty was only good for 5 years. I also have to agree that these units are a bunch of junk. My builder put my unit in because it was cheap. If prossible replace with a different unit, not repair. When the repairmen came out to repair my unit, he laughed and said who sold you this crap.
