"Run as fast as you can."
Run as fast as you can. The company does not stand behind their equipment. They blame issues on their parts suppliers and they have a d+ rating with the bbb, I wonder why? We had a compressor fail in a 2 year old unit, in which the HVAC company told me has been extremely common in these Goodman units. I am out of pock over $750 in labor as a result of their defective equipment and the company does not care. The HVAC guy indicated Goodman knows they have a problem but are hiding. They need to step up to the plate and issue a recall or a class action lawsuit might be on the way.

"G is for Garbage Goodman"
Have had both furnace and A/C. Have had nothing but problems. At the beginning of each season, we have had to call them to be serviced. Warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. These are garbage. The 20 year unit we replaced worked better. Tell everyone.

"Owner-landlord"
We started having problems the first year of ownership! I am a landlord who purchased 5 of these furnaces that's no good! All tents call because furnaces will not come on at least three times per year in the middle of night! In Colorado, it is very cold! We need reliable heat 24-7. Do not waste your money on these furnaces. They are junk!

"Worst Unit Ever"
Had two units installed in a new home, a 3.5 ton for downstairs and 2.5 ton for upstairs. The upstairs unit constantly runs and never reaches the desired cooling temp. It went out a year and a half after being installed . Although the part was covered, the labor was not and it ended up costing us over 600.00 to have it fixed. Now, the downstairs unit has gone out and is going to cost another six to seven hundred dollars to repair. In less than 3 years, we will have put close to 1500.00 in the relatively new units to keep them going. Would not recommend them to anyone and can't get any help out of their customer service dept. Stay Clear of Goodman.

"Goodman Heat Pump"
I bought a Goodman heat pump last winter. I live in North Carolina. It's a piece of crap. The outside unit freezes up like an igloo. The company that installed the unit will not stand behind the 5-year labor and 10-year parts warranty that came with it. Do not buy a Goodman!

"goodman =hot garbage"
I bought a Goodman furnace about 5 1/2 yrs ago and it is garbage. I began having problems after about a year. Every year, something is going out on it. I have to keep a home warranty because I know the unit will mess up at any time. Don't waste your money on this junk. Get a name brand unit. It may cost more but in the long run, you will end up saving. This year, I'm getting that garbage out of my house. I wish I could dump it at their corporate office front door attached with a note.

"FURNACE"
I purchased a Goodman gms8 gas furnace in January 2005 and it ran good. Until 2 years later, we had to replace a major part which my husband hired/paid a repairman for but we never got to keep the replaced part to see if it was warrantied (which is another matter I am not happy about). The following year in 2008, another problem and then again this winter, we've had a repairman come out twice which he told us we eventually will need a certain part that my husband was able to order online and install himself which saved us a bundle. We are hoping we won't have further problems. My daughter is looking for a new furnace and I don't think I will recommend Goodman.

Review:
"Goodman gas furnaces are DANGEROUS"
The Goodman/Amana brands of gas furnaces have a quality issue that has gone unreported and will likely lead to a recall or serious accident. The gas nozzle threads leak gas into the unit and has been a known defect for the last 6 months but has gone unresolved due to design and manufacturing short falls. Heavy inspection and testing has also had limited success assuring defective systems are out there. I would highly recommend another manufacturer.

Review:
"Not a single year without problems!"
Three years after installation in our brand new house, our Goodman furnace needed all of the innerds replaced. Even after that, the same problem... furnace kicks on, kicks off, kicks on, kicks off. Then it shuts off completely. We wake up so cold some mornings without heat all night. I would just as soon rip the entire system out and replace it, but unfortunately I can't afford to do that. So, we're using space heaters in our 10 year old home. I've had four different teams of HVAC and they can't figure out the problem.

"The goodman furnace is bull****"
This is the second year with our Goodman (haha) so called furnace!! We call the "installer/service guy" 3 or 4 times a week. He has come out 3 times in the last 3 months, just looks at it and says he doesn't know what the problem is..... This is my second winter without heat and I'm pissed. The thing never worked even when brand new and the "service guy" is no help. What good is a warranty if you can't get the installer/service guy to honor it!!
