"hmmm...stupid contractor"
I have a Goodman. It was installed last fall, and has saved me lots of bucks in gas price. I used to pay over 200 bucks in winter weather, and last winter only had a little over 100 bucks per month. I recently had a problem with mine, but I have found out it isn't with the furnace, it's with my central air unit. It wasn't even the central air unit, it was with the guy that has been re-doing my electrical to my circuit breakers. He was dropping down my circuit breaker box (since I've had all new electrical done) and had un-hooked the electrical to my central air unit. He hadn't finished re-hooking up the central air to the fuse box yet. Hence, it's been a hot house. My furnace man came over today and found the problem, re-hooked up my central air, and walla, problem solved. I have had a problem with the April Air unit though as the controller isn't working accurately, but that may be in the unit itself or it's not hooked up accurately. My furnace man has said he's not familiar with the present controller that was used as it's a newer model, and he's trying to get his boss over to my house to take a look at it. They are swamped with customers, so the brand can't be all that bad, now can it!

"Installation Is the Key"
am A Goodman Goodcare Installer, In the first Goodman has had a Life time Hassel free replacement on any Heat Exchanger, I have read dozens of these reviews, and along with some of them thier "Service Tec" Can't solve the issue... This is Not true should I have or ever had a problem goodman Tec support is there, The codes are all listed on the Control panel cover, These stories are unbeleavable, Lots of things can cause code failures, Inducer motor blockage caused by long B vents Presure switch is only doing it's job telling the tec there is a problem bad cfm flow across the heat exchanger caused by over sized furnace under sized duct, high static pressure. Its is hard to beleave that any one could or would let a service company get one over on you. I wish I could sell s Goodman furnace for 10,000 that was one of the reviews. People if your having issues with a Goodman Product call them in Houston texas and get the number to your regional support team. The problem will be solved. 99.99999% is installation over sized equipment. Goodman now is North America largest HVAC MFG. They didnt get there by sell Junk. Goodman Has one of the Most out standing warranties on the HVAC market. Every product carrys a min 10 Year some have life time and Yes You can purchase a labor warranty a Goodcare package. back to 95% furnaces in a lot of cases it's as simple as exsesive condensation in the condensing Furnace not being drained properly. Thye blower switch gets it's vac frome lower points. if the unit is not installed properly it's only doing its job. going in to fail safe mode. It will try and lite tree trime is the induser draft motor is in fault the gas valve wont open, For the review with gas valve wont shut off, Is there a drip leg on the inlet of the gas valve is it natural gas lp, I have found enough pipe dope for 10 installs in the vale port inlet that caused a failure" INSTALLATION" A MFG isnt going to MFG a product that is domed and gloomed to fail or cause loss of life. Every wonder why there are more reviews on one product tahn another? Simple when you sell the Most equipment and you are the most affordable, Guess what.... DIY and hackers and un-trained installers. Do you have a TV Washer Dryer Oven, Icebox taht has lasted and lasted, Did you get on line and proudly give your outstanding review? Case Point. ALLTENP Heating and Cooling Tyler Texas

"Best Gas Furnace Ever in USA"
I owned this furnace from the past 2 years. I do have a warranty for 10 years on every part of it and Lifetime Heat exchange warranty. I don't have any dislikes till now. I don't have any repair or any of the parts replaced from the past 2 years. I had already recommended the same brand to some of my friends and 3 of my friends already bought the same furnace. I really like the speciality of the Goodman Furnace in respect to the customer service and even if we have any complaints they tried to reduce that as soon as they can i heard that from all my friends and i assume that if this is what happens to every customer of the Goodman, Definitely Goodman will be the successful and i hope them to continue their well being in the future times also.

"My Goodman Furnace"
I have recently purchased a Goodman furnace and I am very pleased with it. Many people do not purchase these types of units because they do not know about them and they are not advertised. I have installed the furnace myself and have not had one problem with it. It is a very well built unit and does the job quite well. This furnace has many safety devices and if something goes wrong it will shut the unit down due to the safety factor. I was hooked on heat pumps until I decided to go with gas heat. I much prefer gas heat over electric due to the fact of energy savings. Along with great performance the Goodman furnace offers a great warranty which includes 5 years on parts and 1 year on labor. The price of this furnace is way cheaper than if one was to buy a Trane or a Carrier unit. Many people do not know that they are paying for the name when the units do exactly the same thing and have the same parts in them. Overall I put Goodman at the top of my list and if I were in the heating and cooling business I would push this product very hard so people can get more bang for their buck along with the comfort of knowing that they have a good unit that is backed by a great warranty.

"So far...SOOO Good!"
I bought my Goodman 69k 95% AFUE gas furnace in October and installed it and all ductwork and piping this past fall. Lit furnace on Dec. 1...lit straight away and has been absolutely flawless since. My friend ordered the exact same model and actually had his installed before me. Neither of us has had any problems whatsoever during this past very brutal winter. I am astonished at how effectively and efficiently it heats my old house. My gas bills are freakishly low. I just bought the house and had just installed a small woodburner in the basement before ordering the Goodman. That woodburner seems like a silly novelty item now. It made more dust than heat. For those complaining about noise, I wonder if they are aware that multi-speed fan models can have their speed changed with a simple lead swap at the control board? I was careful installing mine...did alot of research and reading, asked questions and above all READ THE DAMN INSTRUCTION MANUAL. The instructions are very well written and easy to follow and understand. I installed my entire system...gas piping, vent, flue, all metal ductwork, floor registers, electrical supply, t-stat, concrete housekeeping pad, and everything for less than $1,900.00. Everything good quality and brand new. Woulda been much less, but had to have 2 pieces of ductwork custom fabricated and was a bit pricey, but nicely done. It looks great and works even better. I looked at a Kelvinator on the sales floor where I bought my ducting and it had the exact same gas valve, control board, aluminized steel exchanger and GE blower in it that mine did...exactly the same, but cost WAY more. It also has the silicon nitride ignitor. After all this, I wonder why the Hell anyone would heat with something other than gas (provided it's available of course). I'm extremely satisfied thus far...oh yeah...and the thing looks real nice too!

"Positive Positive Positive."
Got the 95% Goodman about 4 years ago . No negative feedback here. Its been saving us money hand over fist. No prblems with ignitor or anything. Puts Trane to shame. Oh yes we installed it ourselves. We do have a trane central Air hooked up to it. It works . If I have to replace it in the future I will purchasae a Goodman. I hope it keeps working though. But if I must do thats what I will do.

"HVAC technician"
over the years I have installed and serviced many makes of furnaces. I see and service furnaces every day so I'am aware of what units fail the most and which units are reliable. I find that by far the Goodman GMVC 2 stage 95% with ecm motor is the most reliable furnace on the market I very rarly get a call on a Goodman unit and when I do it is usually because of a bad install

"Negative press"
I got my goodman 92% furnace 8/07 90000 btu gks9 model. on the advice of my installer. he said was the best bang for the buck. I researched and read all the bad press. he said that was the older models. he also sells trane and told me his own furnace was a goodman. this is the third full winter and not a problem. my old furnace worked fine a old bryant but my gas on the budget plan was $378 a month since we got the goodman. the budget amount has come down to $115.00 a month some of the savings came from new windows. but the furnace has paid for itself. the lesson here is go with a good heating and cooling company.and listen as they explain. what they suggest and why.I Had to bids on the install the 1st bid said get a 70000 btu airflow. the 2nd said the 90000 btu and why because of the size of my house he said the 70000 btu my run more often to heat the. even though he sold trane. he did not try to push it on me. the 1st bid did try to steer my toward a lennox.I Could have bought a trane or lennox but would have not been able to change as many windows. which 2nd bidder thought was important also. I agreeed

"goodman furnace review"
I put 60 furnaces and A/c unitsin units i own 5 years ago and have had only one minor {typical)repair needed. I am very satisfied. Most of the problems I am reading about here are typical of all brands such as the exhaust fan needing replacement. For the people whos furnace does not reach the final set temperature, the furnace may not be sized correctly (contractor saves $30.00 for a smaller unit) or the 'tthermostat itself may not be working properly. Furnaces don't think, they just run as they are told by the thermostat
