"infinity gas heat and electric a/c"
I have a two zone infinity gas furnace (40k btuh @ furnace at high fire) and infinity 21 A/C units nominal 2 tons on high but the units deliver closer to 30 k btu's I think. They tend to run on low most of the time and the dehumidification is superb. At 75 degrees summer my home feels cooler than it did at 70 degrees with the old tempstar system, not to mention the operating cost is about 1/2 of what the tempstar system was. in fairness to the tempstar system it served me well for 17 years which I think is great. The carrier infinity furnaces keep my home more comfortable for a FRACTION of the cost it took to keep my house uncomfortably cold with my old oil steam boiler. it literally costs about 20% of what the oil burner cost to run and instead of keeping the house 60-65 degrees i can keep the house 70-75 degrees for a fraction of the cost and a fraction of the energy usage. perry hall hvac of the baltimore, maryland area did a SUPERB job installing the units and I would recommend both carrier infinity and perry hall without reservation.

"Carrier Furnace"
I have owned a Weathermaker since 1990, and hasn't had any service call since the first month. The only complaint I have is the induction fan is noisy when started up. I'm looking for a high efficiency furnace and tankless water when I came across this site. Reading some of this reviews, I guess I luck out with a good one.

"Carrier 90% efficiency gas furnace"
I bought a Carrier 90% efficiency gas furnace with an air cleaner 14- years ago by a licensed and reputable HVAC contractor. The furnace has never given me a problem, and I have never had it maintained or serviced during those years. It is a solid quality furnace. I would definitely get another one.

"Its 19 years old, and its getting replaced"
Purchased in the fall of 1991 and has survived nineteen Michigan winters. Two service calls in all of that time does not seem too bad to me. Now that spring has arrived, I will be getting a new unit (the installers are not so rushed this time of the year). I am comparing the Carrier and Bryant units and have several professional companies here in Grand Rapids that are more than capable of good installations. I just know there are more efficient units out there than the one I have---well done, Carrier.

"Warm and fuzzy from our Carrier furnace!"
We love our Carrier furnace (Infinity 96). The heat is always consistent. It is quiet and it heats our house very evenly. We're moving now and planning on upgrading the furnace in the new place - I don't think that we'll choose any other brand.

"Carrier 58MXA080-12 furnace condensate"
Installed Oct. 2000, then regular maintenance. No problems until Oct. 2009, when led blink code 31 (3 short, 1 long) appeared after the inducer motor came on, but we got no heat. This happened during cold, rainy weather. After two service calls, problem was traced to a clogged condensate drain ("j trap") and leaves on screen in the intake pipe causing furnace to intermittently go off and on on code 31. Clearing out the drain and removing the leaves fully fixed the problem.

"Carrier Reliability"
I am an Engineer for a mechanical contractor in ct. I felt compelled to comment on some of the reviews I have read here. In most of the reviews, if you read between the lines, poor workmanship and installation practices cause a lot of problems with all brands of equipment today. Noisey systems (ductwork), Ignition problems (gas pressure and venting), frozen condensate lines (draining outside in cold climates), circuit boards (faulty wiring installations) are typical issues in the trade today. The contractor you chose is most important followed by the equipment. If the price is your first concern, you will probably be writing a bad review here also!

"Carrier ICS and A/C"
I have had this furnace for 1 year now. This is the top of the line so you would expect performance. Although there were issues with the installer the furnace performs as stated and without any concerns. The 15 seer a/c is ok. The fan runs at one speed when the air is on. Seems the set up was wrong. The coil froze up. Again installation concerns. I highly recommend this equipment, but, always be careful of the installer. We eventually worked everything out...
