"This 2007 installed furnace is over rated"
Not only is this 2007 installed furnace over rated as far as output is concerned it is also near impossible to get parts for. I have been waiting 6 day in January in Michigan for a burner, which includes the ignitor unit. We have been without heat from this furnace which means we have been without hot domestic water as well. I will move into a cave before I rely on another Carier product.

"RIPOFF - JUNK!"
We purchased a Carrier Weathermaker gas furnace in 2000 and have regretted it ever since. The furnace is a two-stage, high efficiency, variable blower model that constantly shuts off in the winter. We have to manually turn the switch on and off to get it to work. We live in the north so our winter temperatures can get down to -40. We have to make multiple service calls each winter. Calls to Carrier were a joke - they blamed the installation, the thermostat, and eventually said that they "make a great product" but didn't know what the problem was. The problem was faulty manufacturing that resulted in a general lawsuit from owners. Unfortunately, the payout was a pittance and nowhere near what is necessary to replace the unit. I wouldn't buy another Carrier if it was the only manufacturer out there! Save your money and get something else! Carrier doesn't stand behind its product!!!

"Terrible company, product and service!!!!"
Carrier is unethical. They "guarantee" their products for 5 years. Coincidentally, their stuff break one or two months after it expires. Now I have to pay $1,000 dollars to change the board. My guarantee expired last November and it breaks now. I guess this is how this company makes its money.

"8-yr old furnace dies on Christmas"
Wow. Here I was trying to save money for the family during the holidays and I wake up Christmas morning to a Carrier furnace still under warranty that has stopped working. Now my options involve spending $400 on labor and hoping this beast survives a few more months or spending $3k on a new furnace. Nice job Carrier ... your products suck.

"Carrier Infinity"
Piece of junk. Have had the system since house was purchased new (7 years ago). In total have had service down to look at it 5 times. Two years ago motor in the hrv failed, motor just failed again. Bill is $844.00 Only thing worse than the Carrier unit is their customer service. All I got to talk too was too ladies who's only experience in the industry is to provide lip service too people who are dissatisfied with the product. Got a call from Carrier rep saying sorry off of warranty. Bad luck two motors going in under two years. Merry bleeping XMAS to you too Carrier. BUY AT OWN RISK!!!!!!!!!! At least at Sears you can buy extended warranty.

"No Customer Service, Poor System Design"
Carrier "customer service" will not provide any information to the end- user, no matter how basic, citing liability issues. My issue is that their TrueSense dirty filter technology throws repeated false faults to replace the filter. Carrier directs the end-user to contact a Carrier certified technician. I have been through three such technicians with no fix, just repeated service call charges. Bad design and low-levels of Carrier "certified technician" competence. Do not buy carrier products

"Carrier Infinity, has fatal flaw, do not buy"
Replaced my 12 year old unit with carrier infinity as suggested by SMO DMO of Maryland. Unit was installed end September, it was warm started ac and unit failed has to call repair, replaced outside unit thermostat which failed in new unit. Cold started and switched to heat, oh my it was shoecker. message unit flashes " malfunction ". Had 5 calls for repair, at least 8 different technicians have come and cannot figure out what the problem is. Still have a brand new carrier infinity malfunction which no one knows whats wrong and how to fix. I made a fatal mistake for buying carrier infinity please do not buy this unit even if selling hvac tries to talk to you into this unit.

"Shove the Carrier Up The Derrier"
Wow.....pages and pages of the same problems we have with our junk furnace justifies that Carrier blows (mostly cold air). The last six years we have had a "professional" heating & ac company come "fix" it at least a half dozen times--per winter!! Diagnoses run from broken parts to bad thermostats to a leaf that may have blown into the exhaust vent. One Christmas eve I was up all night--not waiting for Santa, but nursing the furnace along so our parrots would not freeze to death. Another problem is that a condenser hose fills with water and we constantly have to drain it before it backs into the heating unit. Waiting again right now for the serviceman to arrive. Just fired the piece of crap up three days ago and already two days without heat. The annual ritual of calling for Carrier repair has become our first sign of winter!
